Trivia: Third badge for actually defeating the gym leader?

By my count, this is the 4th time Ash actually defeats a Gym leader - Lt. Surge, Koga, and Blaine being the others (recall that Blaine only gave Ash a second chance for helping out in the volcano). I mean, it's still low, but I count 4 times. Anyone else? Anaphysik 06:42, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Trivia: First time Team Rocket trio presents Giovanni with a Pokemon

I think it should be noted that this marks the first and only time in the anime when Jessie, James and Meowth present Giovanni with a Pokemon, Togepi. Ssbmelee99 15:05, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Jessie's Yanma was also presented to Giovanni. He didn't keep it so Jessie decided to capture her instead. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 15:11, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Pokedex speculation

There's no proof that the armour was in any way interfering with the Pokedex, its just a fan rumour. If the armour was interfering with the Pokédex, then the Pokedex would have stated that. And as for the static on the screen, I believe it was the only time since EP001 that the Pokedex was shown to have no data on a Pokemon, and the next time was about 200 episodes and three years later, so it is pointless to use that as the basis for the argument. In the anime, Mewtwo was known only to a select few members of Team Rocket, and it is highly unlikely that Professor Oak (or Westwood) would be aware of Mewtwo or add it to the Pokedex. They also had no available data for those ghost skulls in Gastly's debut episode, and the ghost pokemon were stated to have no known entries in the Pokédex in the Tower of Terror. The former instance had a blank screen, and the latter instance had the pictures of the Pokémon. Neither instance resulted in static. Mewtwo's scanning did, however. Besides, considering that it was counted in the Pokédex in virtually every other medium anyways, even the Trainer's Handbook, which was based on the Anime, it's unlikely that Mewtwo was not scannable due to being an unknown Pokémon. How would the Pokedex get information on a recently created and secret Pokemon? Sure, every other medium has Mewtwo in the Pokedex, but the anime is not every other medium. There's no reason to believe anyone beyond the select Team Rocket members that were a part of the creation process knew anything about Mewtwo, and no reason to believe the armor had anything to do with it. The static could very well have been done for dramatics. Plus, the anime is exactly well-known for it's consistency. Funktastic~! 22:26, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Bill had it on his door, even when there's no way he could have possibly known about it. And besides which, if I recall correctly, Giovanni also had a painting of Mewtwo in his office. And the Trainers Pokédex, especially the Mew collection, was in fact based on the Anime (since it gave bios on Ash, Misty, Brock, Professor Oak, Gary Oak, and Delia Ketchum), and even it listed Mewtwo as the 150th Pokémon.
