Shouldn't the list of Pokemon be below the list of table of contents.

Currently the list of escalation battles is above the table of contents. Should we lower it? Unowninator (talk) 02:43, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Done. It looks like when this was split off from wherever it was before, it was just copy-pasted without even re-evaluating how the sections are divided or correcting the number of =s in the section headers. I've tried to address both of these issues. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 05:16, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Diancie's 'different kinds of Special Stages' note

Since Mew and Celebi have had Escalation Battles, the trivium about Diancie's initial release in the description section is outdated. It'd be easy to change it slightly to include Mew and Celebi, but I'm not convinced that this information belongs there at all. Should it remain in that section, be moved to Trivia, or be removed entirely? VioletPumpkin (talk) 01:21, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

It seems to be intended as a "first time x happened" statement, of which there are several in the overview section. To that end, it should be reworded to say it was the first Commemorative Stage Pokemon to get an EB. That would also future-proof it so we don't need to change it again if Manaphy gets an EB.
I think it's notable enough to keep it, but I agree that it feels out of place right next to the dates of the first 2 Escalation Battles. At first I thought it should be moved to the end of the description/overview section, but that puts it out of chronological order since Diancie's EB appeared before anger skips. Maybe put it in its own paragraph between its current position and the first anger paragraph? Something like this:
"...from September 28 to October 12, 2015 on the Mobile version.
Starting with Delibird, some Pokemon that were previously available through other means have been released as Escalation Battles. On February 9, 2016, Diancie was the first Pokemon previously available as a Commemorative Event to be released as an Escalation Battle.
From version 1.3 (3DS)/1.6 (Mobile) onwards, the "angry" feature..."

Where to put the Rayquaza "Level MAX Challenge"

About a month ago there was an escalation-like stage called the "Level MAX Challenge", where rewards would be given for clearing level milestones, and every level would drop a guaranteed amount of Personalized Skill Boosters for the featured Pokémon such that their skill would be maxed out once the last reward level was cleared. This seems unique enough to warrant its own section, but would it be more appropriate to put that here in the Escalation Battle article, or in the Special Stages article? Boblers (talk) 21:12, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

I think it should be on this page. It just looks like a new kind of Escalation Battle, since you can gain rewards for reaching certain levels. I doubt they will only be doing this for Rayquaza only. — Ruixiang95 21:47, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
Yes, it was an escalation battle, it should go here.
Also, we were discussing changing the table format on this page at one point during the lockdown. Let me see if we are still doing that. Might be something else to work on. For now, the MAX Challenge can be added here. CycloneGU (talk) 22:03, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Proposing move to "Escalation battle"

The phrase "escalation battle" is not capitalized in sentences in the in-game notices, therefore we probably shouldn't capitalize it in this article's name either. --Boblers (talk) 11:24, 3 September 2023 (UTC)

Sounds reasonable, I agree. Nescientist (talk) 11:44, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
