Talk:Eyecatch
Can this also bring to the eyecatch of the game locations in Gen III and IV? ht14 04:17, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- They have their own space in those articles, maybe we could writte a little paragraph about those and explain that tey can be seen in their articles themselves. YukitoOoO 17:34, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- Or we could create a new article... this could be eyecatch (anime); the other could be eyecatch (games). ht14 17:37, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- I guess you're right! So we can see then all together instead of in several separated articles. I could help if somebody tells me how :)YukitoOoO 17:47, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Original Series eyecatch
Shouldn't we include somewhere in the article that before the seizure fiasco, before it showed the Pokemon in the eyecatch, there was a flash of white light that morphed into the Pocket Monsters logo? JacobtheDoduo (talk) 00:38, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Game "eyecatches"
I've mentioned this elsewhere before, but I really don't think we should consider the game artworks eyecatches. I know they are categorized as that on the Archives, but they are so drastically different from anime eyecatches (a loading screen would be more similar) that I really don't like the idea of considering them to be the same thing. --SnorlaxMonster 13:12, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
- What do you want to call them then? Also, following your logic, we need to separate actual bugs from glitches and both from oversights, since it would be more accurate.* SatoMew 16:22, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
Power Plant
This page is missing the eyecatch for the Power Plant in FireRed/LeafGreen. Sphericalice (talk) 20:03, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
Can someone please identify these...
Can someone please identify these pokemon for me?

Different graphics on Who's That Pokemon
Shouldn't the different graphical styles for Who's That Pokemon be shown here? The graphic style used for Advanced was actually introduced for Johto League Champions, and the previous season, Johto Journeys, had another different style. A shortlived Japanese one is also missing. Digifiend (talk) 01:14, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Split games from anime
How about it? Here's a candidate article for the game eyecatches and another one for the anime eyecatches. SatoMew 22:04, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Horizons series eyecatches
So I think it should be pretty clear by know that the Horizons series is just gonna use a different combination of all the same eyecatch images for every episode. Instead of adding every combination to the table and having two image columns and one episode number column in every row, I propose that we have one image column and two text columns, each column naming the episode that the image was used for as the first and second half eyecatch, respectively. This would help make the table a bit shorter. Thoughts? → PikaTepig999 15:35, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- I guess a different idea would be to have just a couple of images (feat Liko and Roy maybe) on this page and a subpage List of Horizons Series Eyecatches with the exact combination, similar to a list of WTP page. 22:20, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
Bumping this discussion. With HZ046, even characters that had did not have a lore reason to get new eyecatches, did. (for example, Liko's artwork being updated in HZ027 to exclude her pendant is a such a reason since she no longer has the pendant, but Roy getting a new artwork in HZ046 is just a visual update. There's no pokemon evolution, no outfit change.) Additionally, the table including every combination of its eyecatches would have gotten too big, and thus my original idea of "first half and last half". Even with that, it is getting longer now, and you also have to do mental gymnastics to find the combination for a particular episode. I still believe that a subpage (see: List of Pokémon Horizons: The Series eyecatches) for the list of episodes would work, since it has the images for that episode together. → PikaTepig999 23:34, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thought I would provide an update, and explain all the changes here to keep track for later. The eyecatches were split to the above linked subpage, with only two examples kept on this page. (Liko and as they are the protagonists.) Additionally, since the eyecatch files were named based on a somewhat random numbering scheme, it was easier to name them after the characters. For example, HZ eyecatch 1.png → File:HZ eyecatch Liko Uniform and HZ eyecatch 1 V2 2.png → File:HZ eyecatch Liko Sprigatito V2 (The new files names can be seen in a:Category:Eyecatch.) → PikaTepig999 17:13, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
Horizons Dub Eyecatches
The dub are using the eyecatches as well, should we include screenshots for them somewhere?--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 16:32, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- An update based on discussions in the discord: Since the artwork is the same with the only change being in the logo, there isn't much of a need to include all the images again. So only two example eyecatches were added to the dub table. The rest of the artwork seen on the list page, but with the Japanese logo. (This was just to provide an update of what had happened, not to definitively close this discussion. If there are other opinions or new ideas on how to handle this, please feel free to reopen this discussion.) → PikaTepig999 17:13, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
