Talk:Feather
Umm, there's the HP Up vitamin that gives 10 HP EVs. Why does this say otherwise? Dsaerno 21:57, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
How do we know that the English name is wing?
Shouldn't the page be called "feather"? TorchicBlaziken (talk•edits) 22:09, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
No Usage Limit
I think that it should be more specific what it means by this. If I remember correctly it means you are not capped off at 100 EVs per stat, though I'm not completely sure. I just know that a friend of mine got confused by the page because he thought it meant you could reuse the item over and over, as in the item is not consumed after use. If anyone can provide a more accurate detailed description of what is meant by "they are not subject to a usage limit," it would be appreciated.Jas61292 05:16, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
- Clarified. --SnorlaxMonster 11:16, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
- I am also a bit confused here. For example, none of the six wings have any effect on my starter Pokémon, yet the NPC in Opelucid City still says "Your [Pokemon] ... looks like it could try a little harder." So, I don't have enough information to make sense of what this means -- maybe I've maxed out my Pokemon's EVs, maybe Wings have some kind of limit, maybe the EV rater does or does not have differing responses in the first place, it's too ambiguous to call. (I also have no EV berries at my disposal to experiment with.) --Stratelier 18:50, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'm confused too as, when I gave my pokemon so many vitamins it hit the 100 EV cap, it wouldn't accept the wings. And this pokemon literally had 1 battle after I used the vitamins, so it couldn't have been due to being maxxed out. --Marrilglowmlw7 03:47, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- I just tried this, and gave my Pokémon which had never been given any EVs enough Sp.Def EVs via Zinc that it reached 100 and stopped accepting vitamins. I then successfully used all 18 of my Clever Wings without any trouble. --SnorlaxMonster 08:44, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- Just thought I'd let you know that I attempted to use Wings on my party and got a "It won't have any affect" message. So... I think there is some sort of limit. Sorry, I don't understand the whole "100 EV" stuff and this might be somehow mentioned in the article ^^; --ケンジのガール 05:01, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- If you got a "It won't have any effect" message, your Pokémon already has 510 EV's, so it's already at its maximum. Dilophosaurus Rex 07:31, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Just curious
I've been using these little by little on my Snorlax in White. However, I'm not really seeing any kind of a stat change or increase for him. Are the EV values obtained from these going to a secret ID or what? :( Frozen Fennec 03:08, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- Each one gives one EV, which means it takes four of them to make a single point of difference in the stat at level 100. Unless you're using an awful lot of them, you likely won't see a difference in normal gameplay. Werdnae (talk) 03:28, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
Generation VII
Wild Pokémon found on the map can drop these now, at least on Route 10. I've confirmed Fearow can drop Health Wings and Swift Wings--and suspect Skarmory may drop others. I may check to confirm later.

- The information all already existed on the ambush encounter page, so I went ahead and incorporated it here. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:52, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
