Similarities to Ragyo Kiryuin

Should we make a point on the Trivia Section that Lusamine is almost identical to Ragyo Kiryuin from Kill la Kill? You mention the similarities between Lusamine's Mother Beast form and that Jellyfish.Hydreigonfan1 (talk) 14:48, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

We generally avoid comparisons with copyrighted works unless they are explicitly pointed out. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 15:56, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Father?

Where in the game is Lusamine's father mentioned? I've played through both Sun and Moon and haven't found this anywhere. -- Umbee (talk) 04:02, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Out the front on 1F of Aether Paradise, one of the NPCs mentions that her father started the Aether Foundation. --SnorlaxMonster 04:05, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Team Skull

Would she be considered a leader of Team Skull alongside Guzma? She didn't directly lead them like previous team leaders, but did secretly serve as their benefactor. In the game itself, you also fight a bunch of Team Skull grunts and Guzma right up to her mansion, instead of Aether Foundation members. --Geektreecko (talk) 13:59, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

It's generally pretty clear who's supposed to be a leader and all. For Skull that's Guzma. It's not Lusamine (in any great part). You can rationalize that it might be logical to call her that, but that's not what I'm talking about. If we can describe all that nuance just fine without trying to force the label of "leader" on her, then that'll work just fine. Better to be clear than try to sum it all up in an oversimplification. Personality altered by Nihilego?

I believe the reason Lusamine became very cruel is because her personality was altered by Nihilego, the moment that it arrived. Do you think that is why? Because she used to be "a kind and compassionate woman who genuinely cared for her children". - unsigned comment from SunMoon90210 (talkcontribs)

Is there a way to mention the Pikachu is female?

I noticed her frozen Pikachu has a heart tail. I tried mentioning its gender, but I couldn't figure out how to change the image, or add a ♀ sign without making a red link. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:45, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

Thanks Pumpkinking. But is there an image we can use w/ the tail? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 15:55, 21 May 2017 (UTC)

Confirmed English voice actor?

The Pokémon and Dubbing wikias both state Bobbi Hartley provides the English voice for Lusamine, is anyone able to confirm this? IMBD credits her for voice acting in the anime as well but only as additional voices from a few 2017 episodes. Frozen Fennec 01:50, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

IMBD has only credited her for four episodes, Lusamine appears in all four but there are several other episodes Lusamine has been in that she has not been credited for, a false assumption by those two wikis maybe? Frozen Fennec 02:03, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
I don't think IMDB is a reliable source, since you can edit pages if you have an account. I don't know, what is the site's general consensus on IMDB? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:34, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
No idea currently. The farthest back mention I can even find of Bobbi Hartley voicing Lusamine is someone guessing on our forums back in March that she might be the voice for Lusamine, both wikis noted her as the voice actress a month or so afterwards. Frozen Fennec 03:07, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
IMDB can be edited, so it's not a reliable source. The only way to find out is asking the voice actors themselves on any social media platform or by email.--ForceFire 05:32, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

Salazzle's Move?

Doesn't Lusamine's Salazzle know Sludge Wave? I know it wasn't said, but the same could be said for Absol's Razor Wind. It could have been Night Slash because the blade was glowed purple before using the move. I know that's not how Night Slash usually works, but there have been moves that are shown to work differently in the anime, like Greninja's Cut and Aerial Ace. --Summoningwars2018 (talk) 20:26, 3 July 2018 (UTC)

Razor Wind was purportedly confirmed by captions. I don't immediately know where to check the captions, but I have no reason to doubt that it's true.
Our policy is not to assume what moves are if they are not stated, for reasons very much like what you said above. Only a few unique moves may be exceptions. Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:55, 3 July 2018 (UTC)

Lusamine (anime) article

At this point, Lusamine has become a reccuring character in the SM series, kinda being the "leader" of Ultra Guardians. She is appearing often, especially in the recent episodes. Since Gladion and Kukui now have their separate anime counterparts article, I would suggest to give Lusamine one too. I have created one in my userpage so you can take a look Rioxイブイ 19:01, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

I concur with this suggestion. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:06, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
I have just created a possible mainspace article on my userspace if anyone wants to contribute to it. User:BigDocFan/Lusamine_(anime)--BigDocFan (talk) 22:15, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
@BigDocFan there was no need too, since an article like that was already existing in my userspace. Hopefully the articles will be good enough to be mainspaced. User:Riox-Ibui/Lusamine_(anime) Rioxイブイ 00:21, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
I can only apologize for that, wasn't aware at the time. As you were here first, I should abandon mine in favor of yours.--BigDocFan (talk) 06:54, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
No problem :) (Rioxイブイ 23:23, 19 September 2018 (UTC))

Antagonist

Should we add the main antagonist thing to the introductory paragraph now? It's been a while since SM has been considered "spoilers". Come to think of it, it's kinda been a while since SwSh. Crummymummy (talk) 06:25, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

Why is it an issue anyway? Why not just use the spoiler templates? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 18:27, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

Good point. I’ll check with Force Fire on that. Crummymummy (talk) 03:34, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Info in trivia

In the trivia section of the article we can read the following: "The player can win or lose to Lusamine the first time she is battled; the player will not black out and the story will progress either way.". Does that happen in Pokémon Sun and Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon or both? I think it would be worth to specify that. Swam (talk) 17:46, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

Personality altered by Nihilego?

According to Lillie's reminiscences on Exeggutor Island, Lusamine used to be "a kind and compassionate woman who genuinely cared for her children". I believe the reason Lusamine became very cruel was that her personality was altered by Nihilego, the moment that it arrived. Does anyone else think that was why? SunMoon90210 (talk) 12:39, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

Please answer. I want to know the truth about this poor woman for sure. SunMoon90210 (talk) 12:45, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
Seriously, I want to know! SunMoon90210 (talk) 17:01, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
If you want to speculate about the story, you can discuss it on the forums. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:55, 10 November 2021 (UTC)

Main antagonist

I don't really see why that hidden warning is still there. It's been more than five years since Sun and Moon released, so naturally Lusamine being the main antagonist is no longer a spoiler and has become rather common knowledge since then, and "a character introduced in" is a rather vague description in regards of her role.
