Talk:Maria
I'm guessing this is Mikoto... tc²₆tc26 03:15, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah. The nun. That is Mikoto. --Maxim 06:54, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Recurring character?
Is she really a recurring character if she just appears for two consecutive episodes? Galladeon 23:22, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah. Not a character of the day if your in more than one episode. --ケンジのガール 23:35, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Game appearance
Maria is a minor character in both media. She is just the girl who guards the Snowpoint Temple. She hasn't that much screen time in the anime (in her first appearance, she appears at the beginning of the episode, then disappears until the very few seconds at the end). In Japanese, Maria is just called "shrine maiden". Her anime appearance is just an improved version of her in-game sprite (same hair, just the clothes are different in fact). I don't anything (role, appearance, importance, etc.) that implies she's a character different from the in-game maiden. Any opinion? Jeangabin666 (talk) 11:37, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
- But there's actually nothing that implies that she is the same character, aside from the fact that she stands outside the temple. That's too little to consider her as the same character. And the similarity between her anime appearance and in-game sprite is speculative at best, I don't see it at all to be honest. --Maxim (talk) 11:59, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
- Both characters are the only single lady who guard the Snowpoint Temple in their respective media. The anime is based on the game, if both were guarding a different temple, if one of them was an old man, or if there was several characters guarding the temple, you would be right to consider them different. When I play the game and encounter this single lady north of Snowpoint City guarding the temple and then watch the anime to see a similar single lady in charge of guarding the same temple, there's no doubt they're same person. - So, you consider Mr. Gold and Stu Deeoh to be the same character under a different name, right? --Maxim (talk) 12:47, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
- Never played those games. Can's tell. But it's irrelevent to Maria anyway (President and owner aren't really the same thing). Jeangabin666 (talk) 14:22, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
- If she's not named in the games or anything, there's no need to assume. The trivia point is plenty. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:31, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
