Stadium medal error
The Poison-type icon is upside down in the medal. All other icons are positioned such that its bottom-side is pointed towards the center of the medal (star). But the Poison-type icon's bottom-side points away from the center. ReignBough (talk) 03:18, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- To make it clear, the medal is positioned that way in the game, so the sprite itself is correct. Can be put in Trivia though. Itan (talk) 13:37, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
Move
This should be moved to Medal (Masters), as it's generally best to have an article "X" before having an article "List of X". This will allow for easier linking and potentially more in-depth coverage. Landfish7 13:18, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- Makes sense to me. All the other "List of medals" pages either have a corresponding "Medal" article or have already been moved to "Medal (Gamename)", so it'd be consistent with those if we moved this as well. Storm Aurora (talk) 15:51, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
- I think all medals should be linked from medal, first and foremost. And if that's the case, I'd feel like "List of medals in [x]" is a good name for the pages it links to, rather than being kinda repetitive. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:36, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- I feel the different Medal pages cover different topics and should be covered under their own articles. There's no indication that they are meant to be the same object as what appears in the core series and the manga, so lumping the other ones in with this article doesn't seem like the right move. - The medal article states at the top of the page that it's meant to talk about medals that appear in the core series games, so Masters medals don't belong there. Or are you suggesting that the medal article be broadened to cover medals that appear in any Pokémon game? I suppose that broadly speaking, they're all the same mechanically, since they're all achievements earned for accomplishing something... But as soon as you get into the specifics of their purpose/implementation, the medals are so dissimilar that I don't see much value in covering them all in a single article. - For what it's worth, it seems these medals have different Japanese names:
- メダル (Medal) for achievements in core series, Go, and Picross
- エンブレム (Emblem) for achievements in Masters
- There are also medals as prizes for the Pokéathlon and for Typing Adventure, medals as currency to buy items in Battrio, or Master Medals as basically the "Badges" given in the TCG GB games. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 09:47, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
