Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Game Cube officially called Nintendo Game Cube with a space? Is it too much to ask for people to call things the correct way? I'm not being snitty or anything. I'm just sick and tired of people making articles and misnaming them when stuff like the Game cube is in other articles saying "Nintendo Game Cube" already linked. Wouldn't be behoove people to LOOK before they make an article to see if there's already a LINK?LedianX 05:13, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Well the box says GAMECUBE and all of the Nintendo websites call it GameCube. I don't think it has a space at all. And things like this is what redirection pages are for. It's no big deal. - Ferret 05:15, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I know but you didn't even call it GameCube when you made the article. And yeah you can do redirect. I just makes things more professional and that's sort of what we're trying to do here. Not trying to be mean but in the future could you look for other ways o say the name of the article before you make one? Just trying to help LedianX 05:20, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I was not aware of the Gamecube <> GameCube when I wrote it, but I most certainly knew it wasn't a Game Cube. I'll make the nessessary changes now. - Ferret 05:23, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Cool. It's no biggie. There are just other ways to name it. Glad there's no major problem. Oh and do you think it'd be a good idea to ad some E-reader stuff on this page? Or would that be better served alsewhere? LedianX 05:27, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

What exactly does the E-Reader have to do with the GameCube? I'm not sure, you can add items to things like Animal Crossing I think but nothing else comes to mind, the E-Reader is more used on the Game Boy as far as I know. Maybe the E-Reader should be a different article, and put "Ability to use the E-Reader for specific games." on the GameCube page. Unless the use of the E-Reader goes further than that... - Ferret 05:33, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

It should probably have its own article and not be on this page. E-Reader put stuff into the GBA so it should be on the GBA page then.I'm talking about the berries, the tickets and the battlesLedianX 05:45, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I remember GameFaqs tried to call Nintendo systems by their "correct" names. Instead of listing things as GameCube or GameBoy, the listed them as "Nintendo GameCube" or "Nintendo Gameboy". They eventually changed it to the unprofessional names because they got complaints that it was needlessly making things too complicated. People would be looking in the "G" section for GameCube stuff and were getting frustrated and confused when they couldn't find it.

Just something to note.

An encyclopedia needs to be correct. We're trying to be correct. - Ferret 08:22, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

There isn't always a right and a wrong. Especially when it comes to language. It's mutable I mean, look at English. "Ma'am" used to be "Madam" which used to be "My Dam". Can you say that "Ma'am" is "incorrect" and "my dam" is the correct version? Even when you're dealing with enyclopedic knowledge, sometimes you have to adjust to public ideas on what to call something. Can you honestly say that just calling it "GameCube" can be defined as "Wrong" - anymore than calling the main character "Ash" instead of constantly calling him "Ash Ketchum" is incorrect? Should all of the pages on Ash's Pokemon be changed to read "Ash Ketchum's Snorunt", for instance?

Which is why we have redirects. ~ek

Why was this left as GameCube? Nintendo Press' Style Guide dictates how these system names should be written by game reviewers and the like. Apparently it's Nintendo GameCube according to that. Read this article; it shows the correct spelling for the most recent Nintendo systems. Wikipedia, albeit being a community-driven encyclopedia, often has these correct spellings in its articles; pay attention to it often (go here ("Nintendo GameCube") and compare with here). You don't even have to use those unofficial sources if you don't want to; this is as simple as going to Nintendo's official site and look at the spelling. --Johans Nidorino 19:03, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, it probably should be Nintendo GameCube. I'll move it. --TTEchidna 19:36, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Gameboy Player?

Should attachments like the Gameboy player be included? It's worth noting Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire has a Rumble function, that required a Gameboy Player and a Standard Controller (DOL-003). To put bluntly, it acts Like a GBA most of the time, but to a few games it had extra functions. Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gameboy_Player Big Nutter 14:25, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

XD Special?

Should it be mentioned? cal05000 13:56, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Wasn't it a mere skin? I own it and it's just a licensed product made by Gamer Graffix. If that's what you're talking about, I wouldn't include it. --Johans 06:09, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Pokémon Channel Gamecube skin

In the "Special Pokémon editions" section on the Gamecube's page there's a picture of a Pokémon Channel Gamecube. However I can't find any information about it(not even on google/ebay/collection websites). Can someone tell me more about this special Gamecube because not even the text in that section talks about it. Gerrie333 (talk) 18:18, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

"a set of Pokémon XD-themed decals were available as a pre-order bonus for Pokémon XD." ht14 20:48, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
A Pokémon Channel gamecube isn't something Pokémon XD-themed. And why can't I find anything about it? I have looked at multiple lists with all the limited edition and pre-order gamecube skins and this one wasn't mentioned anywhere. Gerrie333 (talk) 21:45, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
Sorry about that. I misread your question. I don't know. ht14 02:10, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
User:Maverick Nate uploaded the image, so they must have believed it was official at one point. Perhaps it is just a special Gamecube for just one person? --Super goku (talk) 02:48, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
Then I'll ask him more about it. Gerrie333 (talk) 14:16, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

Meowth's Party

I noticed that Meowth's Party (a demo Game Cube game) is not in the list of Pokemon games. Should it be added? - Elite4woolfy - unsigned comment from Elite4woolfy (talkcontribs)

According to this, it was merely a video, and never a full game. Nescientist (talk) 17:34, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
Is it still noticeable enough to add to the main page? ----
