It seems there were other "Opening animation spoilers" regarding new captures, evolutions, and such. Are we now only adding them after they happen in the series proper? --Incursor (talk) 23:46, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

On the translation of lyrics

As a native Japanese speaker, I can point out some parts of the translation that don’t seem accurate. But I’m not good at English enough to compose grammatically correct and rhetorically good sounding translation. So please forgive me writing this, could someone please take into consideration what’s written below when editing the article?

Jump in on one, two, three! / Someday the future I imagined will be right in my pocket

Here, “いつか” refers to a moment in the past, not in the future. The noun phrase “いつか描いた未来” means “the future that I once dreamed of”. So this part is more like: “One, two, three, and jump into it! With the future I once dreamed of in my pocket (encouraging me)”

As the world breathes a sigh / I turn around and it changes

It is the “world” that rapidly turns around and changes, and “ボク” breathe a sigh watching it.

As a child, I was obsessed / Even slipping through a hole for it / Hasn't it been a long time since I missed it?

“Even the holes that I used to slip through playing around as a child, I feel like it has been long since I last saw one. Have I overlooked them all along?”

Jump out on one, two, three! / Until I was crying miserably / Those days and the outside of a ball

“ボールの外まで” is the destination of “飛び出せ”. Jump out there, with all the days that you spent crying. This part is a bit ambiguous in Japanese.

1. Beyond words / 2. Beyond the boundary / To places you haven't seen

“まだ見ぬ君” means “you who I’m yet to meet”.

I already decided before / If you fall then I'll give you a hand

“I already decided that if I were to fall down and put my hands on the ground, it should be ‘前’ (before myself), not behind”. Meaning “I” always try to reach forward.

The shadows grow as the sun sets / Their heights have changed as well

“Though my body height has changed from those days, making my shadow longer, just like when the sun sets”. Meaning “I” am not a kid anymore that “I” used to be. Metaphorically pairs childhood days with daytime and growing up with evening.

I left it in the right pocket of / Those worn-out clothes covered in dust / An adventure that fit in one hand / Was all of us

In this context “君” (you) are the subject, not “I”. I’m not confident that my translation attempt here will make any sense but it’s like this: “Though in the pocket of dust-collecting old clothes / You left it — an adventure that could be held in one hand / Which was once the whole world for us / The memories from those old days, they are calling for you”.

No second variant from the third version of opening animation featuring Ash's Sirfetch'd? Why?

From OLM, Inc., I think that there should've been a second variant of the third version of the opening animation for One, Two, Three ever made, the one that replaces Ash's Galarian Farfetch'd with its fully-evolved Sirfetch'd form, now I wonder why you think there still missing one? Go's Hoothoot

In which part Hoothoot appears? I looked very cautiously everywhere and didn't see it anywhere in the fourth opening. It's driving me crazy! Esquilo30 (talk) 13:23, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

No one will answer my question? Esquilo30 (talk) 13:58, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

I guess I won't have an answer...Esquilo30 (talk) 13:36, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Calm down, friend.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 13:56, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Then tell me, which scene does Go's Hoothoot appears in the fourth opening? Esquilo30 (talk) 23:21, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Next to Pidgeotto in the scene with Goh's other Pokemon.--ForceFire 05:55, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Next to Pidgeotto is Pidgey! Hoothoot doesn't appear anywhere in the opening along with Kingdra and Durant. Esquilo30 (talk) 14:51, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Greninja...?

It wasn't confirmed to be Ash's, it could be just a random pokemon. Can't edit, so here. Champion Averie, signing off! (Need anything?) 21:55, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

Order of characters

Why is this so hard to understand? Characters get listed off of A)Importance followed by B)order of first appearance. Gary and Chloe are both recurring characters so Gary would be listed first. See Dawn being listed before Goh in a Journeys episode or Gary before Paul in DP.--Pikablu (talk) 00:37, 12 March 2022 (UTC)

One, Two, Three - 2023 ver.-

After The Rain released an album titled "I’m Your Hero" on 10/18 that includes a new version of this song as the first track, titled One, Two, Three - 2023 ver.-. Is this version of the song notable enough for Bulbapedia, or does it being an album-only release mean it lacks the notability required? Tamaratan (talk) 16:09, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
