Talk:Oran Berry
Oren berry?
When I was playing my friend's Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, he found a weird berry. it was called the oren berry and actually hurt him when he used it! is this just a glitch in the game, or is this an actual berry? or is it a Oran Berry that just went bad? --1ted59 21:16, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- It's real. There are other spoofs as well, such as Revivor Seed (which does not revive user) and Mix Elixir (heals PP only for Linoone) among others. See the main site for PMD for details. You can do it via pokemon.com. ht14 22:20, 10 November 2009 (UTC
- Should these 'spoof' items have a page of thier own? --1ted59 23:51, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- The games call them Lookalike Items, so the page would have to be called such if it is made. Also, when a lookalike item is selected the description at the bottom has the normal description followed by ...?, so it pays to watch for that if you are playing the game. For the Oren berry, it does damage an enemy if you throw it at them, like a half power gravelerock, so it is better to throw it at enemies than put it down and let them throw it at you. Anagram
Can it be noted that "Oran" is an anagram of Aron? WATERWarrior67 00:09, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- It actually used to say that, but I removed it because I didn't think it was notable. Nobody seems to have reverted it. Why do you think this is particularly notable? - unsigned comment from Flarn2006 (talk • contribs)
- Don't get offended by this, but I erased your signature because someone did the same to me. It makes timestamps confusing if you go back and do it. I think it's notable because it's the only berry that has this characteristic and that it's unique. WATERWarrior67 00:38, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- You have to put the
{{Unsigned}}
template if someone forgets their signature. Aron doesn't have anything to do with the Berry nor is it particularly interesting. It might be the only Berry that's an anagram of a Pokémon's name, but that's as random as saying Starf is the only Berry that's an anagram of a flotation device (rafts). glikglak 01:02, 7 May 2015 (UTC)- Actually I was thinking of a different word than "rafts". - Flarn, don't get your briefs in a knot. Glik, I appreciate your contribution. Can you help me out on the whole time stamp thing? I understand (now) that you have to use that tag, but still. Who's right in this case: me or Flarn? WATERWarrior67 01:41, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- The talk page policy spells it out. glikglak 02:02, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

(resetting indent) Anyone is fine to add it technically. "If a recent comment has been left unsigned, then any editor may amend it with the {{unsigned}}
template." If there's any additional need for discussion, that should be on either your usertalk page or Flarn's. This talkpage is specifically for the topic of Oran Berry. ht14 03:42, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
