Talk:Pidgeotto (Pokémon)
It's possible to find Pidgeottos below level 18
I was playing Pokemon Yellow, and when I went to Viridian Forest to train my Metapod, I encountered a wild Pidgeotto at Level 9, which should be impossible since Pidgey evolves at level 18. I see that it's already noted that Falkner's Pidgeotto is at a level that should be impossible, but should this possibility of meeting a Pidgeotto pre-level 18 also be noted? --Pie4ever0 (talk) 16:07, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- You can get many Pokémon that are underleveled. It's not unique to Pidgeotto. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 16:10, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
Possible Origin?
It seems to have some similarity to the extinct Choiseul Pigeon. It was native to a province of the Solomon Islands which is south of Japan off the coast of New Guinea. [[1]]

Game Locations
In the section for the Second Generation Games (Gold, Silver, and Crystal), I noticed Kanto Route 5 among the possible locations where Pidgeotto can be caught in all three games. On the page for Route 5, however, Pidgeotto was only tagged as available in the Crystal version.
Could someone check to see which page needs to be corrected please? Thank you!

Indigo Conference Pidgeotto
Is it the same Pidgeotto or are they belonging to two distinctly different trainers?--KnightGalarie (talk) 13:29, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- Checked both episodes, it is the same trainer. Frozen Fennec 13:54, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks so much! I had to ask because it wasn’t implausible for three trainers (the third being Ash) in such a big field to have a Pidgeotto--KnightGalarie (talk) 13:58, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
