The reason?
Does anyone know the reason why this was a Japan-only release and why it was never translated into English and put out on the American and European markets? ~~Takoto - サソデイ 16:33, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- Part of it may also have to do with the fact that the card selection in the game was horribly out of date, even in the Japanese release. The selection of cards extends from the Base Set to the Team Rocket expansion. By the time this game came out in Japan, Neo Genesis had come out in America, who was about two months away from Neo Discovery; Japan, on the other hand, had Neo Destiny released in their country not even three weeks before this video game and were a few months away from the critically-panned VS set.
- My 2¢: The right decision was made to leave it Japan-only. And not just for the card selection, but also for needing to translate quite a good chunk of the Vending collection which was never printed as actual cards in English (although Wizards had wanted to bring that collection stateside...) --Shiningpikablu252 00:18, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
The fan translation
In regards to my recent edit, while I understand the fan translation is not official material, the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (WiiWare) article lists its fan translation without issue. Are the circumstances for this game different? --Boblers (talk) 14:48, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
