the ability page says 12, this page only has 11 listed, I have no idea what the last one is, someone else please add it. Zurqoxn 09:14, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
I've fixed it, Burmy was missing. I find it somewhat disturbing that this was never corrected for such a long time.
Can Ekans have Shed Skin in Generation 3?
Can Ekans have Shed Skin in Generation 3 or is that only in Generation 4 and onwards? Poke'fan07 (talk) 19:05, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- I would think so. Generation IV added newly-created Abilities to old Pokemon, but as far as I know, it didn't add any old Abilities to old Pokemon. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:26, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, alright. Thanks, most of the Ekans I seen in FireRed have Intimidate most of the time. Poke'fan07 (talk) 21:10, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
Probability
The probability was recently changed due to the Emerald disassembly, but Gen 5 datamining determined it to be 30%. So the exact probability appears to have changed between generations. --SnorlaxMonster 10:50, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
- I somewhat regret I did that particular edit. First of all, those 30-ish percentages are a nightmare. Anyway, when trying to judge how credible 30% was for later generations (read: at all), I found the original edit, as well as mostly reliable UPC and Showdown pointing towards this being a guess that was some percent off. My judgment was to neglect the only indication of a change that I could find, resulting in doing the edit; an edit that fixes an error, is sourced rather than unsourced, and quite likely did no harm. (I didn't edit Poison Point, Static, Flame Body, and Cute Charm, even though I know they're wrong at least for Generation III, because I don't have all that for those.) And so there's that edit I believe I shouldn't have done, but shouldn't undo either.
- My guess is that it's quite likely there was a change before Generation IV, and that it's the only change that has happened. But bottom line is, I just don't know, anything could have happened, even multiple changes. I'm not even 100% sure it really is 30% in Gen V (99.9%, yes, but it's just pseudocode after all, there may potentially be a typo or even a mistake). Nescientist (talk) 22:05, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
