Torment + Encore

What will happen if a Pokemon who has been hit with encore is hit with torment, or vice versa?

I haven't personally tried it, but I believe it will have to use Struggle every other turn until the encore ends. Meeve 18:47, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Two Scraggys in the TM list

I think someone might've typed Scraggy twice on the list of pokemon that learn torment from a TM. Scroll to 559 / 560. 559 should be Scrafty, however I'm not changing it because I cannot confirm if Scrafty can learn Torment.

Two-Turn Moves

I've rewritten the Torment description to be more accurate with when Torment is used in a turn; sometimes, it will begin on the very next turn if Torment goes first. However, what I have not tried is using two-turn moves like Hyper Beam, Fly, Dig, etc. I presume it will apply to Fly, Dig, etc., but using Hyper Beam will generate a rest period; will Torment and the rest period in effect be the same turn, and Hyper Bean useable again immediately after the rest? Torment on a move used last turn

I can confirm from recent and bitter experience that torment will not kick in the used before an opponent who is using the same move they did last turn. Samjohn95 20:28, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
