3 heads?

So theoretically, if there were more than two types of gases each with a respective weezing, there could possibly form a Weezing with more than 3 heads.--JP585 22:21, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

- First off, I know that Bulbapedia frowns upon replying to really old comments. And I know that the above comment was made in May and that it is now November. HOWEVER. FRLG sprite
As I needed to looks for Weezing's Shiny sprite, I went here... And i noticed its shiny sprite in FireRed/LeafGreen has a coloring error, as does Slowbro's, Totodile's and I think even Scyther's in Emerald. Shouldn't it be in Trivia, with the fact it's only Pokemon to have it in FRLG? --KingisNitro 18:28, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Can someone tell me where exactly can a Weezing be seen in that movie? I looked through the pics Serebii had and couldn't spot one. So I'm just going to put it out here. Why is its art from R/G being displayed instead of its more-recent RF/LG artwork? I thought I alone would be able to fix it but I don't seem to find the problem. Protection and Japanese name origin
First of all, why is this page protected? I know, mainly because of fan speculation, but why to allow only administrators?
Second of all, in the last two sections, not counting External links and Related articles, the Japanese name origin is wrong. It should be like this: Matadogas may come from 又 mata (again), 獰 dō (bad) or 毒 doku (poison), and gas. Essentially, it is a doubling of Koffing's Japanese name Dogars, and thus a doubling of Koffing–which is exactly what Weezing is. It may also be a corruption of マスタードガス masutādogasu (mustard gas).
In English, “poisonous” is an adjective. It translates to 毒々しい dokudokushii in Japanese (a 々 is an iteration mark). This word is an i-adjective (since it ends with い i), so “poison” is just 毒. Thank you for reading. --TheICTLiker4 17:01, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

Galar inspiration
Galar weezing appears to be both based on stereotypical interpretations of "victorian-era wealthy men," with moustaches and tall stovepipe hats. Said stovepipe hats also function and appear similarly to factory smokestacks (factoring into a sort of 'industrial revolution' theme for this guy) though in an ironic twist, these smokestacks function in the opposite way from real ones, producing purified air instead of pollution.
There may be a connection with Alolan Muk and Grimer, which also clean up their environment in contrast to their kantonian formes, and have the pollution form as facial features such as teeth, compared to the weezing's smog moustaches. UTC Burgrr (talk) 04:27, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
I don't think the smokestacks are ironic. Imo, Galarian Weezing isn't based on perfume (I still don't see where that came from?). I think it's based on nuclear energy/plants. That explains both its appearance and Poison/Fairy typing. The "smokestacks" produce clean air, just like how the stacks at nuclear plants produce clean steam (hence why its signature move is called Strange Steam). The green clouds of poison represent the nuclear waste still produced by nuclear power. But nuclear energy is one of the cleanest forms of energy available to us, hence the Fairy typing. It is a shift away from fossil fuels (like the Coalossal line) towards clean energy, and Galarian Weezing has likely played a part in cleaning up Galar after the Industrial Revolution. I agree with lots of the stuff said here, but I believe that the green gas on Galarian Weezing is a reference to chlorine gas, a chemical weapon used in WW1 and iconic for its bright green colour (it can appear yellow or yellow-green as well), and I say that because of Koffing and Weezing’s mustard gas inspiration, so it only makes sense that another chemical weapon was used as inspiration for a regional form of Weezing. Plus, I believe that Galarian may be based on air purifiers, not perfume (honestly I hate that assertion, there’s no reference to their clean air smelling good, and perfume doesn’t clean air, if anything it’s the opposite) because they feed on contaminants in the air and expel clean, purified air, like an air purifier. Abilities Changed
