Talk:Whimsicott (Pokémon)
When looking at the sprite table, I see this stretched out, terrible looking sprite. While it may be animated on some browsers, it just looks terrible on others. I think we should just use the still sprites of the B/W Pokémon. - 050294 21:20, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- That's the fault of whoever made the animated sprite, because the policy is to use the proper still sprite for the first frame to prevent that exact problem. Sorry. 梅子❀✿ 22:09, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- I will gladly upload the regular sprite. - 050294 22:46, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- No, you will not. The animation itself has to be fixed and that can be done, but does not give you the right to yell at admins and engage in an edit war because and spewing out a misinterpreted policy in the edit summaries. —♥ Jellotalk 04:21, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- I apologize, as I was trying to follow a misinterpreted policy. I was not yelling at them either; I use caps just to garner attention to the text as some people just ignore it, I do not use it in anger. - 050294 05:51, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Fairy type?
How do people know that Whimsicott and Cottonee are fairy type if they can't even be obtained in X or Y? I think this may be a mistake on someone's part. - unsigned comment from Admantus (talk • contribs)
- Whimsicott is used by Emma and Battle Maison Trainers.--電禅Den Zen 19:10, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, but how do we know Cottonee is Grass/Fairy as well? I mean, yes, it's somewhat likely, but I've been told enough times that that's not good enough to know that, well, that's not good enough. Does anyone in the game use a Cottonee or something? - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talk • contribs) 03:15, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
My case in point. Sure, they are used by in game trainers, but assuming what they are is not good. That can mislead people to think that cottonee and whimsicott can be obtained in-game, which is not true. Like I said before, the typing should be changed to pure grass until pokemon bank comes out and someone can actually see the typing. --Admantus (talk) 21:03, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- Cottonee is also used in Battle Maison. And we're not assuming anything; I used Dragon Pulse on Dana's Whimsicott seconds ago and it was immune to it.--電禅Den Zen 21:14, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Switcharoo
Got around to breeding a Whimsicott, and I noticed something - it has chain-breeding only via Cacnea listed to get Switcharoo, but Minun gets it via level up in ORAS and can breed. Not sure if that should be updated, or left alone/given an ORAS tag because it's still true in X/Y? Either way, figured I'd point it out before doing any actual editing.
