Talk:World Coronation Series
I did what I could with the information we have so far, if anyone has any suggestions. I believe that here you should have the same procedure as the League Conferences and the rankings of real competitions. But if someone has an idea and wants to supplement it with images and information that are relevant. I really appreciate it.Hikaru Wazana (talk) 01:12, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
PWC Participants list in box format
Personally, it looks more appealing and interactive to list PWC participants in Box format (with the relevant info, rank etc. in text boxes with the entire box color representing the class) than as a list format. I'll add a screenshot of a preview in a bit. Panky.. (talk) 12:45, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- How exactly are you suggesting? I had made other formats when I put this page together, but this one was the one that worked the best so far. The problem with trying other formats is that they haven't invested much in showing how other characters are in the competition besides Ash.Hikaru Wazana (talk) 16:10, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- Somewhat similar to the 'something different' edit you made, just with colored boxes to denote the class tier, with two text boxes under the name for the rank and additional info. I tried to do it but only ended up with the colored box, pictures and name parts. Couldn't figure out how to add additional text boxes below the name. Panky.. (talk) 08:58, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

Order of the Masters Eight
To me, it makes absolutely no sense for Ash, the current Monarch, to be listed last. There may not have been explicit rank changes shown due to the fact that the battles took place in a tournament, but Ash is still effectively 1st (and Leon, the runner-up, being effectively 2nd). I would prefer for it to be ordered by the tournament placings, but I think that Ash should at the very least be listed at the top. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 18:08, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- He is listed as the winner but the numbers were locked into place once the Masters Tournament began. Either way it will look strange. --Rahl (talk) 18:14, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- Sure, but the Masters Eight Tournament is what ultimately matters in the end, at least in regards to the overall winner of the World Coronation Series. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 18:30, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- I believe the rankings remain the same. The only difference is that Ash was the Champion of the Competition Tournament. It's more or less like the World Cup, not always the first country in the FIFA ranking is the World Champion of that year. --Hikaru Wazana (talk) 18:38, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- Ash is the current Monarch of the World Coronation Series, not just the "competition tournament". PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 18:56, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, but the Masters Tournament is not the World Coronation Series. They are part of the same competition, but different things. In the same way that Lance was Runner-Up in the previous Masters Tournament but who was in second place in the WCS ranking was Cynthia. I don't know if you're understanding my reasoning, I have my doubts if the anime intends to show a ranking after the competition with new information, if that's your general doubt..--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 19:05, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- "In the same way that Lance was Runner-Up in the previous Masters Tournament but who was in second place in the WCS ranking was Cynthia."
- We don't actually know what Cynthia's numerical ranking was in the previous season, or if she even participated in that season to begin with. I agree that it's unlikely that they'll show a new ranking, but that isn't the best example. After all, both Iris and Ash joined the Masters Eight during the most recent season. - "list of named participants in the latest season of the World Coronation Series by ranking as of JN132, which includes the results of the Masters Eight Tournament"
- If the section is going to state that, then the ranking should be ordered accordingly. We can't have it say it is ordered according to the most recent episode and by the results of the masters tournament but then not order it as such.--ForceFire 01:55, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
