Move protection
This article and XY099 still need move protection. - PokémonGamer* 17:08, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- My guess is we're waiting until a conclusion is reached on moving the article for the Lights! Camera! Pika! episode- currently listed as a special, but it seems much closer to a regular episode than anything else. - unsigned comment from Missingno. I don't get it.
Why remove the bit about Greninja learning Waterfall? What else could that move be? Even if that did look like Aqua Jet, Greninja can't learn that. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talk • contribs) 11:08, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- It was most likely removed at this time because (1) the episode hasn't aired yet, and (2) there is no proof of what the move is, you can't just see an animation (or picture) and assume the move. ChE clarinetist (talk) 13:12, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- We can still safely assume that a new move is learned. This isn't the first time a Pokémon learning a new move has been hidden on the episode article before it airs if there's sufficient proof that that Pokémon is going to learn that move, nor, I'm sure, will it be the last. In this case, Ash's Frogadier doesn't currently know any moves that look like that physical Water move Greninja uses on Bisharp. It's clearly not Water Shuriken, Greninja can't learn Aqua Jet, and after going through Greninja's movepool, the only other physical Water move it can even get, let alone even possibly look like that, is Waterfall. - unsigned comment from Missingno. - I see where Playerking linked an image in their edit summary. This is not necessarily a new move, as Greninja has been shown in previews and the new opening to transform into Ash-Greninja in a torrent of water. It is highly likely that is all that it is, and not a new move. Also, the anime doesn't always hold true to what moves Pokémon can learn in the games, so it very well could be Aqua Jet, if it is even a move. There is too much speculation to add it now. If it turns out to be a move, add it once the episode airs, but until then, I'm taking it back off. ChE clarinetist (talk) 19:57, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- I think we really need to get away from this "we did it this way before, so it's justified" mentality. If something was done hastily or incorrectly in the past, doesn't mean we should be content with it now, at some point it needs to stop. I agree with the above, it's very speculative to state it's waterfall based on a preview/image of an episode that hasn't even aired yet. --Pokemaster97 20:23, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
