Finale

Is this confirmed to be the finale? What about the Stunfisk episode (10/11) we found out about from broadcast data? Until that is confirmed to be a special episode, we shouldn't mark this as the finale... Kidburla (talk) 14:22, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Multiple summaries have called this the finale. Plus the ending shot pretty much implies this anyway. Playerking95 (talk) 15:12, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Coincidences with Latias?

Curiously the airplane was called Latias, same as one of the protagonist of the movie where Ash got a questionable kiss if from Bianca or Latias. Would It be a coincidence or was intended to make everyone remember that kiss?Nesu (talk) 14:25, 28 October 2016

The kissing scene

Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that it was kiss, so why not write about it? Ekiadox (talk) 22:00, 2 November 2016

First things first: Source? Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:36, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
He/She's probably referring to this. https://twitter.com/RealShigeruM/status/791729849555623936 Playerking95 (talk) 02:06, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
If that's the case, that Twitter account isn't even Miyamoto's...it's a parody account. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 03:15, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
Well, if that's really not his actual account then I got another proof. Look at Clemon, Bonnie and Pikachu's faces tumblr_ofq7vu4aoK1vr4jioo7_540.gif That reactions and the leg moving up when close to Ash are enough to prove this statement IMO. - unsigned comment from Ekiadox (talkcontribs)
That is not proof. The scene was left up to the imagination, and everyone is free to make their own interpretations, but on Bulbapedia, we're not stating that they kissed if a kiss wasn't shown. The way the plot is currently worded is sufficient. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 22:12, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
Well here's actual proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0SfUtq8AVELatios86101 (talk) 00:35, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
Proof would be quality scans and/or reliable translations of them (much preferably with scans for verifiability). A random Youtuber doesn't necessarily know Japanese; and that one linked to a Twitter user as the "source". Even supposing it's all "correct", I think a trivia point would be most appropriate to note what the creators intended; I think the plot section should remain focused on what's in the actual episode. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:49, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
I mean, I guess so that for the synopsis of the plot we should stick to what was shown. Just noting that it was confirmed in the interview by the producer and that the interview was translated reliably. In this source: https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/5ll43h/serena_confirmed_to_have_kissed_ash_in_xyz_47/ (the interview translation) the creators seem to go either way with the producer saying that it should have looked like they did and Yajima saying it was supposed to be ambiguous. Latios86101 (talk) 03:42, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
If the two of them are contradicting each other, then it's not really solid proof.--ForceFire 04:53, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

In order to not start an edit war:

The blurb is always meant to be copied verbatim from the pokemon.com source, yes? Does that include using U+2019 ’ in place of U+0027 ' because the original source did? --Felthry (F.K.A. Xolroc) (talk) 22:04, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

It's not worth arguing over. The simple answer is just use an exact copy, rather than invite arguments over every thing any person can think up that they think should be just a bit different. Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:48, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
That's what I was thinking. --Felthry (F.K.A. Xolroc) (talk) 22:49, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Triviaworthy?

Quite a while ago, I discovered (and rediscovered today) this interesting piece of trivia from TV Tropes:
"The flight that Serena is taking is called H71 Latias [who missed Ash in Pokémon Heroes]. H71 in the ORAS Pokédex is Mawile and its Japanese name Kucheet (クチート) is a corruption of 口と, meaning "with the mouth." As a result, it can be read as "Latias, but with the mouth", suggesting that Serena kissed Ash directly on the lips."
Can this be considered worthy of being added to this episode's trivia section? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:52, 11 October 2019 (UTC)

There's a lot of reaching involved with that, given that we could also say 'one may also notice that the flowers outside of Ash's House are Baby's Breath, which are Kasumi in Japanese, the Japanese name for Misty - suggesting that Ash went home to Misty' - something that's also not in trivia. It's all interpretation and thus not trivia, despite what English teachers say; sometimes the curtains are just blue Azure/ChromeVoid42 (talk) 17:21, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
