Origin theories

1. It could also be based on a Japanese legendary creature called Raiju which has lightning abilities and is said to take on the form of various animals including a cat.

2. It's shiny form could be based on white tigers.Robbie (talk) 00:20, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

Serval?

Other than the yellow coloration, I don't see any resemblance to a serval.Robbie (talk) 15:33, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

Kanehekili

I could not find any information about Kanehekili online, but if the only similarities between Zeraora and Kanehekili are thunder and Hawai'i, that piece of origin should probably be removed. --Celadonkey 01:33, 12 May 2018 (UTC)

Catgirl influence?

Zeraora might've been inspired by catgirls for several reasons.

1. Catgirls have long hair and cat tails. Zeraora's long hair/ fur cape seems to be a combination of long hair and a tail.

2. The black fur on its face, torso, and arms resemble bare skin.

3. Catgirls sometimes have furry cat-like forearms and Zeraora's forearms are exactly that.Robbie (talk) 21:41, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
