Split

I have just discovered just how rediculous this template is. I knew it was bad, but this is 5kB. That's 5kB every single time it's used. Technically it's a little less than that, but because of the way switches work, it's more accurate than you might think. No wonder our servers are getting hammered and pages take forever to load. This template has been split into subtemplates, detailed in the modifications I have made to the table above. Effective immediately, addition of the main template to pages is prohibited. Create a dash for long lists of games

On some pages, we have a mess such as "GSCRSEFRLGDPPtHGSSBWB2W2XYORAS" that could be alleviated with a Sup/Dash or something similar, allowing us to just put "GSC-XYORAS" or even "GC-ORAS" X Special Attack and X Accuracy on this page are an example of the mess. For that particular example, I would argue you should just write ^{Gen II+} or ^{Gen II-VI}. A lot of long strings like that are probably better served by that sort of thing than a big jumble of letters and colors. Tiddlywinks (talk) 07:44, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

I thought we already had a sup template for Generations, but it appears we do not. I agree though, no need for a long list of abbreviations when a gen tag will do.
