Release information
In Japan, this card was available as part of the Trade Please campaign that ran from February 10 to July 31, 1998. Participants were required to mail a flyer included with copies of Trade Please by Suzukisan to MediaFactory along with any two Pokémon trading cards and a return envelope within the campaign period. Participants could select a "course" detailed on the flyer by writing in the appropriate space. The "A Course" included a Charizard card and a copy of this card. The "B Course" included a Blastoise card and a copy of this card. The "C Course" included a Venusaur card and a copy of this card. MediaFactory would then send the two cards from the chosen course to the participant, completing the trade.
It was reprinted as a Supporter card as part of the XY-P Promotional card collection, and was available as part of the Trade Please Campaign 20th, which began on September 16, 2016 for as long as stocks lasted. Customers visiting participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and Pokémon Store Outlets, as well as those attending the 20th Anniversary Festa venues in October, could trade 20 Pokémon TCG cards featuring a classic reverse (those released during the Original and Neo Eras) with a member of staff for 1 of 2 "courses" whilst saying the secret password "Trade Please!". The "A Course" included a Pikachu card and a copy of this card. The "B Course" included a Charizard card and a copy of this card. Only 1 trade could be completed per day.
