Pikachu Records (Japanese: ピカチュウレコード Pikachu Records) was a record label under Media Factory that produced Pokémon CDs and Pokémon soundtracks in Japan from 1997 to 2012. Most Pokémon albums in Japan came from Pikachu Records during this period.
In October 2011, Pikachu Records' parent record label, Media Factory, was acquired by Kadokawa Corporation for ¥8,000,000,000. As a result, the Pikachu Records label was retired; since 2013, Sony Music Entertainment Japan and OVERLAP have taken over production of the series' anime and video game soundtracks, respectively.
