Casey's Elekid (Japanese: ナナコのエレキッド Nanako's Elekid) is the fifth Pokémon that Casey was known to have, and only the second she was seen catching on-screen.
History
Elekid debuted in Here's Lookin' at You, Elekid as a wild Pokémon that stole some of Larvitar's food and shocked Ash with its Electric-type attack. Elekid then showed an interest in Larvitar, acting friendly towards it. When Elekid and Larvitar were separated from Ash and his friends to the appearance of Team Rocket, Elekid and Larvitar attempt to find them, only to be recaptured by Team Rocket. After reuniting with Ash and his friends, Elekid battles Casey and her Meganium as Casey had been searching for Elekid in order to catch it. Even though it put up a great fight, Elekid was no match for Meganium's strength, resulting in its defeat and capture.
Elekid made a cameo in Address Unown!, where it was shown in Larvitar's memories.
In A Date with Delcatty, Casey selected Elekid to battle Georgio's Delcatty to determine whether Casey could gain one of Georgio's tickets to attend the baseball game between the Electabuzz team and the Starmie team, but despite its best efforts, Elekid was bested by the Normal-type Pokémon and ultimately defeated.
In Those Darn Electabuzz!, Elekid joined Casey's Beedrill and Meganium to stop a runaway Charizard from advancing. Despite their strength, the trio couldn't keep the Fire-type Pokémon from running away. Elekid later appeared with the other Pokémon to cheer on and help train Corey Demario's own Pokémon.
Personality and characteristics
In its debut appearance, Elekid was rather hostile and aggressive, stealing Larvitar's food and immediately taking a battling stance when confronted by Ash. At the same time, however, Elekid also showed to be rather friendly, patting Larvitar on the back and attempting to become its friend, oblivious to Larvitar being uncomfortable with the attention it was receiving.
After being caught by Casey, Elekid adopted its Trainer's fighting spirit and cheerful attitude, eagerly joining Casey, Meganium, and Beedrill in performing the Electabuzz theme song in an attempt to encourage Corey Demario's Charizard to regain its confidence.
