The Nutpea Berry (Japanese: ラッカのみ Rakka Fruit) is a type of Berry exclusive to Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. It is an e-Reader Berry, so only exists in the game after scanning its e-Reader card. Its e-Reader card was released in the Solid Armor expansion of Pokémon Battle e: Series 1.
In the core series games
Only one type of e-Reader Berry can exist in a game at once; if new e-Reader Berry data is loaded into the game, any existing e-Reader Berries (regardless of location) will become the newly scanned Berry. The player can receive the e-Reader Berry from Norman at the Petalburg Gym, as long as they have the Balance Badge.
The player cannot enter the Pokémon Cable Club Trade Center if a Pokémon in their party is holding an e-Reader Berry. A Pokémon holding an e-Reader Berry cannot be traded to Pokémon Colosseum or Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness or stored in Pokémon Box Ruby & Sapphire. If a Pokémon holding an e-Reader Berry is migrated to Generation IV (using Pal Park), its held item will become an Enigma Berry.
