- there will be triple battles
- there are around 150 new Pokemon
- the silhouettes of the region’s legendary trio look like cotton, a dog, and a bipedal animal

This sheet was confirmed to be real on July 1, 2010 when a silhouette of Iris was shown that day.

Pokexperto leak
As Pokebeach states, a webmaster of Spanish Pokémon fan site Pokexperto, Melkor, had a contact with an internal source on Pokémon Black and White and leaked a ton of information to him. This leak was confirmed legit on September 6, 2010, when TV Tokyo advertisement showed a purple cat Pokémon, currently known as Purrloin, that appeared as a silhouette on Pokexperto. After that they have been publishing new Pokémon for a few days with their drawn fanarts extrapolated from sprites with short descriptions and Pokebeach published whole list on September 10, after consulting with Melkor.
On September 19, 2010, webmaster of Pokebeach informed that he and other fansites were requested to take down photos and scans of all new Pokémon by Nintendo lawyer.

Pokémon X and Y
Fairy-type leak
Pokebeach webmaster claimed he used to have a contact with an insider in regards to information on upcoming Pokémon games X and Y. Despite getting the leaks since February 2013, he published them in May when the official trailer revealed a new move, Parabolic Charge, that correlated with some of the infomation provided by his source.
Additionally, he realized that the filename for Mewtwo's new forme on the official Pokémon movie website is , correctly guessing there might be a "Y" version too.
First set of leaks were published on May 11 and go as follows:
- Fairy will be a new type. It is weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and Fire and Psychic-type Pokémon take half damage from it.
- Sylveon is Fairy-type. Some older Pokémon will be reclassified to Fairy, such as Mawile (Steel/Fairy).
- Mewtwo has two new formes, not just one. Both are activated via items.
- The professor’s English name is Patrice.
- The Starter final evolutions are Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, and Water/Fighting. (Chespin and Froakie’s final evolutions were switched from correct ones.)
- The first Gym is Bug, the second is Fairy, and the fourth is Fighting.
- A few attacks will be dual-typed.
- There will be a new type of battling style that Flying-type Pokémon and Pokémon with Levitate can participate in.
- You will be able to see a Pokémon’s EVs at a certain in-game facility. You will be able to boost the EVs through mini-games. It will take about two hours to get one stat to max EVs.
Second set was published two days after, in May 13:
- The goat, Gogoat -> Gogoat. It’s a goat that goes. No need to change the name I guess?
- The panda, Yancham -> Panchum. Obviously “punch ’em,” with the “punch” starting out as “pan” because it’s a panda.
- The bird, Yayakoma -> Fletchling. Fletching or fledgling + hatchling?
- The “lizard,” Elikiteru -> Helioptile. A heliophile is any organism attracted to sunlight, so that + reptile?
The third set was published after another five days, on May 18:
- Pancham evolves into Pangoro in the early level 30s. In order to evolve Pancham into Pangoro, you need to have one other Dark-type Pokémon in your party. Pangoro’s type is Fighting/Dark.
- A Pokémon named Inkay evolves into Malimar. To evolve it, you have to hold your 3DS upside-down when it levels up (the 3DS has an accelerometer and gyroscope, so it can detect that). Malimar’s type is Dark/Psychic.
- A Psychic-type Pokémon named Espurr (ESP + purr) evolves into Meowstick (Meow + mystic?). (Sounds like Psychic-type cats. Meowstick’s name sounds too similar to Meowth to me though.)
- Like in B/W you have two rivals – one is friendly and the other is competitive. Your rival that is more friendly gives you his/her fully evolved starter Pokémon after you beat the game.
- Another professor named Sycamore gives you either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.
- Even though it shows the player riding on a Gogoat in the new trailer, players can’t ride on their own Pokémon. What was shown is just an alternate way of getting around Lumiose City and it only works with Gogoat.
- HMs still exist but there’s a lot less of them.
- Players will be able to see their Pokémon’s EVs (probably through the same in-game facility mentioned in the other post).
- A new move, Belch, is a Poison-type attack that has a base power of 120. The user must consume a held Berry to perform it.
- Draining Kiss is a Fairy-type attack that heals the user for the same amount of damage performed. It has a base power of 60.
- If the previously revealed forme of Mewtwo can be said to look roughly similar to Mewtwo’s original design, the second supposed form of Mewtwo can be said to look roughly/vaguely similar to Mew‘s design.
- In case you missed our correction the other day, the Starters’ final evolutions are Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, and Water/Fighting.
On June 15, Pokebeach claimed his source went silent and revealed two last bullet points.
Later, another admin of Pokebeach, MageLeif, apologized and stated that they won't reveal anything about Pokémon X and Y anymore as they signed legally biding contract.

Alola starters final forms
Three concept arts of final evolutions of the newest starter Pokémon leaked on June 4, 2016. It was confirmed on August 1, when the trailer revealed Mallow, a charater that appears on the concept art of Fire-type starter's final form. Their names weren't revealed, as they were only described as "owl 3", "tiget 3" and "sea lion 3" and the fire one was revealed to have a new move named "tiger swing".
Additionally, on October 16, person known as "ElStrawFedora" claims he and his friend had a chance to meet with Junichi Masuda and get their fanart of the leaked Pokémon signed by the Director. Although due to poor knowledge of the language they didn't understand what he said, they believe that the Game Director commented on the fanart saying "these haven't been officially released yet" and complimented the drawing.
The three starter Pokémon were leaked for the second time with their Japanese names on October 27, a few hours before their official reveal. They appeared on a Twitter post from the official Japanese Pokemon account on the cover of game card sets, but were quickly deleted. Their japanese were revealed to be: Junaipa (ジュナイパー), the Fire as Gaogaen (ガオガエン) and the Water as Ashirene (アシレーヌ), however their types were still unrevealed for this short period of time.

Chinese Riddler
On the Chinese forum Tieba a person known as "Chinese Riddler" is known to leak information on upcoming Pokémon games in form of riddles and hints.
First batch of information from the Chinese source on Pokémon Sun and Moon appeared before July 7 when Salandit was revealed and somewhat confirmed the chinese leak as it predicted Fire and Poison-type Pokémon. On Smogon forum, the user named "Cresselia~~" translated the leak giving better understanding to international fans. The leak stated that:
- there will be no gyms
- Alola region has no leagues and the main objective is to build a league, Elite Four will be owners of each island
- Starter's final forms with be an archer, a wrestler and a siren; the siren Pokémon is Water and Fairy-type (this complements the previous leak about starter evolutions)
- there's a new wristband that can make all abilities stronger; you can load it with collectable logo diamonds that can have many types ("logo diamonds" are Z-Crystals that appear in the Japanese logo of the Pokémon Sun and Moon games; they don't power up abilities but moves)
- some limited diamonds can transform Pokémon's shape, which Greninja is an example of (this is false Z-Crystals don't change Pokémon's form; Greninja transform when it has special ability)
- there will be new Pokémon based on dolphin, mushroom, snowman, rugby monkey, sea cucumber, Rockruff evolves into a werewolf (mentioned Pokémon are most likely: Tapu Fini, Shiinotic, Crabominable, Passimian, Pyukumuku and Midnight Lycanroc)
- the trademarked name "Marshadow" is a mythical Pokémon with very unique typing
- there are many unmarked locations on the map, which form districts; these districts contain very strong Pokémon, known as overlords (the leak most likely means Totem Pokémon)
- there's a new function which lets you ride almost any Pokémon (PokéRide allows only few Pokémon to be ridden)
Another batch of Chinese leaks was compiled on September 7, by Pokejungle. The Tieba forum user "gsdmdqca6hy", also known as the Chinese Riddler slowly gained credibility as his hints hit the target. His post showed:
- Pyroar and Zubat before the reveal of Solgaleo and Lunala
- Pikachu covered in a sheet prior to seeing Mimikyu
- image of rock-paper-scissors and innards before Pyukumuku
- Sandcastle and shovel for Sandygast and Palossand
- a skeleton on cloth for Team Skull
- he also hints at Marshadow not being the third legendary and rather an event Pokémon
- there's a bust of Aristotle that was posted remains a mystery
- a list of old Pokémon that could be in the regional Pokédex
- he also posted Anabel and uses Colress in his profile image

Pokémon Stars
On the day of release of Pokémon Sun and Moon, November 18, 2016, a rumor circulated that the third version was planned to be released mid-2017 under the name Pokémon Stars. This game was supposed to be an upgraded HD version avaiable on home console which would apparently be Nintendo Switch. That would also make it the first game to be on a different console than other games from the same generation. It is unknown if Pokémon GO's success influenced production of Pokémon Stars as Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon that weren't released on Switch which is actually what happened to the next game, Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee!, game that could be prioritized due to connecting Pokémon GO to the main series.

Meltan datamine
On September 21, 2018, a new Pokémon has been datamined by "Chrales" on Twitter from Pokémon GO which appeared to be a Ditto-shaped grey body with a hexnut head and zigzag-shaped red tail. Due to that reason it was believed by some to be a placeholder and potentially an early test of Kecleon. It was officially revealed as Meltan on September 25 and it turned out to be the special Pokémon announced to appear in Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee! in May 30 Trailer.

Affleck leak
On May 23, 2019, a thread on 4chan was created that described general plot, characters and a few Pokémon from the upcoming games. It appeared about two weeks before the first trailer after the games announcement. The leak was confirmed to be real by the June 5 trailer which revelaed Dynamax, a phenomenon named in the leak. The thread was posted on /v/ board (dedicated to video games) and had only two replies both belonging to the original poster.
- Your rival is named Hop, but you will also be facing of against Bede and Marnie
- Team Yell is the gang in this game, who are well meaning fans of Marnie causing trouble
- To become part of the gym challenge, you will have to get an endorsement. Bede gets an endorsement from Chairman Rose and his secretary Oleana
- Eternatus is the evil legendary. The other legendary will be a wolf, who will either have a shield mane or hold a sword like Great Wolf Sif. Don't recall its name
- Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing are new dynamics that will supersize pokemon in specific areas. Gigantamaxing is different from dynamax as it changes what the pokemon looks like. Meowth looks like long cat. Lapras gets layers like musical bars to its shell and musical notes. Pikachu looks like retro fat pikachu
- Sonia is Leon's former rival who is researching the dynamax phenomenon at the behest of her grandmother and professor of the game.
- Some pokemon, like Farfechtd, will get regional evolutions, like Sirfechtd. Meowth looks like a ball of spiky grey fur
- Skwovet and Greedunt iirc are chipmunk pokemon who will hide in berry trees and attack randomly if you shake for too many berries. If they attack, you lose half the berries that dropped.
- The fourth gym is the first Fairy type gym, led by an actress named Opal. Milo, Nessa, and Kabu are the first ones.
- Before fighting the gym leaders, you have to complete the gym challenges.
- Milo has you herding sheep pokemon named Wooloo, but Pamper, electric corgi pokemon, will startle them and send them rolling elsewhere.
- Nessa has you running through a maze where water blocks the way
- Kabu requires you to catch pokemon and get 5 points, but you have to be in a party battle with another trainer who's also trying to catch it
- While there is a transit system, you will have to go through the Wild Area at times, an open world biome that has a weather system and little pockets where wild pokemon dynamax and have to be beaten in a for person raid. You will randomly see nearby players and interact with them to get their league cards and items
- Camping is how you play with pokemon now. You'll get two toys, a feather toy and toy pokeball, which can raise friendship. You can make curry which will raise starts and friendliness
- Pokémon will not walk beside you in the overworld map
- Scorbunny will have fighting moves, but is pure fighter. It becomes Raboot, but I don't remember the final evolution, except that it looks like a fighter. It looks humanoid
- Sobble becomes Sizzile and then Intelleon, a chameleon with a spy theme
- Grookey will end up as a giant gorilla that beats a wood drum to attack.
- There's a lot I'm missing, but I wasn't planning on leaking until now. I'm angry and upset, and while I liked what I saw, I didn't get too far.
- The best Pokémon so far is the blue seagull who when it dives, either gets a barracuda in its mouth or a pikachu, which it launches at its enemy

Returning Pokémon in DLCs
As @abcboy101 on Twitter claimed, right after the Isle of Armor was released, Pokémon HOME spoiled the list of all Pokémon returning in both DLCs for Pokémon Sword and Shield as they deleted Pokédex entries for these Pokémon instead of leaving them blank. This was discovered before the list of all returning Pokémon appeared on 4chan and IGN on May 13, 2020.

Anniversary leak
A few hours in advance on the day of planned Pokémon Presents on February 26, 2021, a reddit leaker, who revealed previous Ninendo Direct before, named "PracticalBrush12" revealed future remake titles to be "Brilliant D and Shining P" in chibi style and that they were developed by ILCA because Game Freak was making an open world game in "feudal" Sinnoh designated to be released early 2022.
At the same time, two screenshots and a short video from the Pokémon Legends: Arceus surfaced, what the leaker noticed. First image presented female character hiding in the grass and three silhouettes of rideable Pokémon, which were later revealed to be Wyrdeer, Sneasler and Hisuian Braviary. The other document presented some battle scenes with player being able to freely move during battle and another unknown Pokémon, a yellow shining duck-like creature with axe arms attacking the player, who is now recognized as Lord Kleavor. Both screenshots were watermarked with the text "hsu@pokemon.co.jp - 21 Jan 2021, 14:29:16 GMT+9". The video only sshowed the title screen of the game.

Pokémon in trailers
In the June 1 trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet a boy was wearing a shirt with black Tauros head hinting at regional Tauros forms.
On September 7 trailer, a new engine-looking Pokémon appeared but it wasn't officially acknowledged as Pokémon. In one of the official arts, it appeared to stick out tongue helping identify it as a living being. This Pokémon was Revavroom.
The trailer from October 6 revealed a lot of Pokémon in the English and Chinese versions contrary to Japanese trailer. First three new Pokémon, a parrot, a pair of mice and a cube, appeared on a minimap, then what appeared to be preevolved form of Armarouge and Ceruledge showed up in a distance in Team Star's base, a smaller variant of the engine Pokémon was visible at the back of Mela's car and lastly a Pokémon with antennas was visible when a trainer was making a photo. Additionally, in the Chinese trailer a chinese name of a new spider Pokémon, 团珠蛛 (Tuánzhūzhū), appeared when the trailer was presenting new TM mechanics. These all Pokémon are currently known as Squawkabilly, Tandemaus, Nacli, Charcadet, Varoom, Gimmighoul and Tarountula.

Trivia
- Along with the leaks there also happen to be revealed the codenames of Pokémon games which are used between creators instead of the actual names for confidentiality, many of them seem to reference different constellations, these are:
- Pokémon Black and White: Syachi
- Pokémon Black 2 and White 2: Swan
- Pokémon X and Y: Kujira
- Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire: Sango
- Pokémon Sun and Moon: Niji
- Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon: Momiji
- Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee!: Beluga
- Pokémon Sword and Shield: Orion
- Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pack: Rigel
- Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: Delphis
- Pokémon Legends: Arceus: Hayabusa
- Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: Titan
- The webmaster of Pokebeach reported an alleged leak for Pokémon Black and White on his site on June 11, 2010 that comes from Martijn Müller a webmaster of an old and famous Zelda website who's thought to be a "reliable news reporter". Despite this alleged leak missing almost all of its information and being generally considered fake, it describes a legendary Pokémon as "a large, green cobra" that "will accompany Reshiram and Zekrom", accurately prediciting Zygarde that accompanies another legendary duo that appeared in the next generation. The same leak also claims that Generation V will consist of 650 Pokémon total, exactly one more than the actual number.
- Theoretical Pokémon Gray and Pokémon Z were never created despite being expected or hinted at. Full video about this was by made by DidYouKnowGaming? on YouTube.
- Pokebeach reported on July 22, 2010 that Play-Doh toy will be released on October 30th but the product's decription lists two unknown Pokémon: Onokkusu (オノックス) and Burokko (ブロッコ). These two appear to be early names for Axew (キバゴ Kibago) and Pansage (Yanappu ヤナップ) respectively matching what appears on the toy's box. Axew's early name is very similar to official na of Haxorus (Ononokus オノノクス).
- An anonymous person on 4chan made a thread where he claimed to know early ideas and plans relating to production of Pokémon X and Y, where he mentioned Xerneas and Yveltal having swapped colors. What's interesting, in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee! icons of Pokémon X and Y also have swapped colors, red for Xerneas and blue for Yveltal.
- From the list of trademarked Pokémon names[1] by Nintendo from June 2012 to June 2013 there can be gathered that they trademarked Pokémon which were supposed to get Mega Evolution. The only exception is Jynx, what could imply its Mega Evolution was scrapped. Jynx is infamously controversial Pokémon what could lead to that decision. What's interesting, this list predicted Latias and Latios also getting Mega Evolution that were revealed to be in Pokémon OmegaRuby and Alpha Sapphire, but they also exist in Pokémon X and Y gamecode. In 2020, another rumor about Mega Jynx started when a Jynx like cry was found in Pokémon HOME.
- Due to the fandom of Pokémon creating their own ideas for Pokémon they sometimes happen to make the same name as an official Pokémon created later.
- A fan design of "Espurr" was created on Koregion wiki by "Ninjin-man" as early as November 8, 2012.
- First known "Incineroar" was posted on DeviantArt by "ChrisJ-Alejo" on September 29, 2013.
- "Polteageist" name with its preevolution "Entitea" were posted by an anonymous on 4chan on March 6, 2014.
- Similarly, an idea for Toedscool was predicted in May 2, 2022 on 4chan.
