Bird-likes
Gyrellow
Gyrellow is a dual dark/flying-type.
It evolves from Swellow at level 45.
Appearance
Gyrellow resembles a huge swallow-like bird mixed with some Gyrfalcon characteristics. Its dark blue, almost black wings make it a dark type. Its breast is a peachy-reddish colour. Its bill is a bright yellow, as well as its talons. There are also white and grey morphs.
Sexual dimorphism
Males are smaller than females.
Special abilities
It is surprisingly fast and very mobile in the air. It can fly at over 90 mph in flight, but up 180 mph in a stoop, but it preferably flies in a horizontal pursuit. It uses its speed and strength to knock down prey.
Ethology
They mate for life and allopreen each other. If one's mate dies, it usually grieves over it and dies of a broken heart. It remains loyal to its partner for the rest of its life.
Ecology
Tundra - it prefers icy cliffs and open plains with no trees. Sometimes found in forests.
Diet
It feeds only on mammals and birds. Its prey is killed off the ground, if the prey is flying - it is forced to the ground. Avian prey can range from Natu to Farfetch'd (it usually doesn't kill other large bird-likes due to the size of them and the force and strength it takes to kill them). Mammalian prey can range from Rattata to Bibarel.
