Userspace edits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot today. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. Continued editing of your userspace will result in you losing your ability to edit your userspace until you contribute more to the mainspace. The max you can edit your userspace in one day is three times, you've edited your page a total of 12 times which is way more than what you are allowed to do. When a staff member warns you about something, please pay attention to what they have to say. In just one day, you have edited your userspace for no constructive reason 19 times. You first made 5 userspace edits and 6th one coincided with Frozen Fennec's first warning. You then proceeded to ignore that warning and made 9 more edits, which resulted in a 2nd warning. You ignored even that and made 4 additional userspace edits. That's unacceptable behavior, and due to your continuous refusal to adhere to userspace policy, you have now been put into abuse for one month. During this duration, you will no longer be able to edit your userspace. I'd advise you to focus on making constructive mainspace edits in the meantime. To be clear, the User talk: space is for discussion of activities on Bulbapedia, and not for circumventing your restrictions. Subpages

Be aware that if your user space becomes too crowded, you have the option to move material from it to user subpage(s). To create one, simply open your user page, simply use your user page address, add a "/" at the end of of it, and follow that up with the subpage title. Main user pages are usually reserved for introducing the user, while their own personal stuff is on subpages. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:58, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Abuse

Hello, it has come to my attention that you have edited the userspace a little too much. Of the 57 edits you've made this year, 42 of them has been for the userspace whilst the remaining 15 were for the mainspace. This is not acceptable. Bulbapedia is not a blog, your priority should be improving the wiki. As such, you have been placed in abuse for one week. Please try to edit the mainspace more often, only edit the userspace three times a day, and make sure your daily mainspace edits outnumber your daily userspace edits. Extremely serious notice

Firstly, in regards to this, no. We have a guideline that users should follow in regards to the userspace. Editing the userspace is a privilege, not a right. If you cannot follow the guidelines, the staff can freely take away your userspace privileges.

Secondly, you can only make three userspace edits a day (per UTC time) but you must make sure that your daily mainspace edits outnumber your userspace edits.--ForceFire 06:02, 10 October 2021 (UTC)

You can limit yourself to three userspace edits per day all you want, but if you don't make enough mainspace edits (which your response implies you won't), then you will be put right back into abuse for longer than a week.--ForceFire 08:07, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Hello, in the span of 2022 up until today, you have made 14 edits, 8 of those are towards the userspace. I must remind you again to abide by the userspace policy and start editting the mainspace more. Bulbapedia is not a blog. I will check back in a few months and if I find that your userspace edits outnumber your mainspace edits, you will be placed into abuse once more, possibly indefinitely. Editing the mainspace simply means contributing to the actual articles on the wiki. A good place to start is the Editor's Hub, which contains various tasks in need of completion. Landfish7 18:23, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
