Comment on my edit on the Transform page for gen 1
Hey there, I noticed you undid my edit to the transform page. This is wrong. Bulbapedia is currently misinforming people about how transform works in generation 1 because transform does not in fact work against pokemon currently using fly or dig. You can see this by looking at the assembly for pokemon red here: https://github.com/pret/pokered/blob/2954013da1f10e11db4ec96f9586b7c01706ae1a/engine/battle/move_effects/transform.asm#L8 I didn't want to explicitly mention this because bulbapedia has ads and this is a bit of a legal mess, but nonetheless, the current description on bulbapedia is wrong. - unsigned comment from Gigalh128 (talk • contribs)
- Noted. I went ahead and made similar edits to the Fly and Dig pages themselves. I'll just take your word for it since I cannot read Assembly. Exempt-Medic (talk) 22:50, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
Eternatus Gender
Please stop changing the gender of Leon's Eternatus to Unknown, it is Gender unknown. Change it again and this will be seen as edit warring and can lead to a block.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 20:19, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
- I edited it after asking about this in the Discord. I was told, by a staff member, that "Unknown" was correct. I missed this message and redid my change, saw this message, and have undone my change. I'm unsure how this should resolve, but I do want to explain at least why I made the edit, and that I actively sought staff-approval before making it. Exempt-Medic (talk) 20:45, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
New user talk pages
If users have made at least 1 productive mainspace edit, it's helpful to go ahead and leave the welcome template with {{subst:welcome}}
on their talk page, and then leave any other comments below it. All users who have made a single edit (unless they are vandals or spambots) get one, so it's a good idea to go ahead and leave one while you're there. Thanks! Landfish7 04:09, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- Ah, I'm used to Wikis where the only people who do that are staff/admin and the like. Good to know regular users are free to do that as well. Exempt-Medic (talk) 10:56, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
