Creating redirects

Just letting you know, there are a lot of old (and some not-so-old) redirects that aren't necessarily considered "needed" anymore. We try not to carelessly create new redirects based on old ones that may have been made under poor or outdated practices, even if they seem to be consistent.

If you're unsure, feel free to ask a staff member if a particular sort of redirect should be created. We may consider auditing our redirects at some point and cleaning out a lot of the old junk, but in the meantime, we're trying not to add to the pile. Ok ! When Help:Starting a new page is eventually created, I believe this should be mentioned so other users don’t create unnecessary redirects (like Ultra Necrozma (Pokémon) which you are free to delete !) Handium (talk) 14:38, 21 August 2024 (UTC)

Unite Pokemon

Hi, thanks for creating the Unite pages for the three new characters. Not a rule as such, but we usually wait till near the mon's release to create its page as otherwise the page is just headings without any actual info. → SuperPikaPool13 10:12, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
