Hisui sentence

That sentence regarding a Pokémon's region specific evolution is normally separated from the main sentence, as seen in every other case of region specific evolutions, regardless of Usrluna etc. not being a regional form.--ForceFire 05:39, 4 February 2022 (UTC)

Image on your userpage

If you want to add an image to the infobox, "File:" is automatically added. That's why I edited your userpage to make sure Hisuian Decidueye's image appears without any problem. --C.Ezra.Mrozmowa · sprawozdanie 13:03, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Rainbow Swirl Alcremie

Any reason why "in real-time in SwSh" was removed from Rainbow Swirl Alcremie's evolution conditions in its section on the List of Pokémon with form differences page? In previous discussion in regards to similar evolutions, such as with Own Temp Rockruff into Dusk Form Lycanroc, users have agreed that we should be specific, as what "evening" means differs dramatically from game to game and may not be obvious to readers. Being specific will also help future proof it somewhat for if and when this form returns in a future game and "evening" ends up being defined differently. Landfish7 21:36, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

The section does define evening as 7:00 to 7:59 pm though, and since all of the times in that section are based on Sword and Shield's time system I figured it wouldn't make sense to only specify there. Anyone unsure what day and night or 7:00 to 7:59 refer to can click the link to time above. This is consistent with what's in Lycanroc's section, the only difference being that section has to list three different evening definitions whereas Alcremie's section only needs the one. Rei/Akari

Since I noticed you were the one that also removed the trivia on LA's page a year ago: Rei/Akari have never been listed on the Rival article even after over a year since the game's release. If you feel like they should be, you could make a case for it on the talk page... but for now, the trivia is currently valid as far as Bulbapedia's definition goes. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 18:15, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Also related to the LA page: "On its boxart" is grammatically correct. I have never heard the term "in its boxart" used before. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 19:51, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
You are mistaken - "boxart" refers specifically to the artwork that is used on the box and not the box itself, so it should be "in its boxart" in the same way you'd say "in the artwork" rather than "on the artwork". Bandana Hewer Dee (talk) 20:10, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
Again, I'm pretty sure that "on its boxart"/"on the boxart" is still grammatically correct, and the wiki has always used this phrasing as well. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 21:02, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
"In its boxart" isn't used anywhere on the wiki. Landfish7 23:34, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Forms

Hiya! Just letting you know that the form differences page is in the process of being split out into the species pages e.g. what you would find under Basculin is being moved to Basculin's species page under the section titled Form data. Before making updates to the form differences page, it might not hurt to check to see if that species has a Form data section, and apply the changes there instead. Let me know if you have any questions! Landfish7 01:28, 1 June 2023 (UTC)

Form differences

Given that the most common methods of achieving a specific form are through form change or Evolution, I believe it is appropriate and helpful to indicate on the Form article that some forms are not achieved through either, with Bloodmoon Ursaluna being just one example of such a case. In fact, official sources also felt like this was important to distinguish when explaining Bloodmoon Ursaluna's form: The Pokémon is unique in that its altered appearance cannot be attributed to Evolution or form change. I also think we could expand the section to mention unique forms that are also gender differences, such as Meowstic and Basculegion. There's also Toxtricity, whose form is determined by Toxel's Nature. I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know if you feel this information would not enhance or help inform on the subject of the article, and why you may think so. Thanks! Landfish7 01:49, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

I feel like the only way Ursaluna could possibly be argued to be unique among form differences is the fact it can't be evolved into, and while worth noting regarding the actual form itself, I don't think it's notable enough to put in that blurb describing the basics of Pokémon forms and how some change while others don't. Those are the two main categories of forms, Ursaluna falls in the latter category, but giving it a special mention gives the misleading impression that it's somehow in its own separate category. Whether it can be evolved into is also a random reason for it to be worthy of a special mention, I'd sooner mention other differing factors like the varying ways Pokémon can change forms (e.g. in or out of battle, using items or other means), or if we're talking about evolution, there's Pokémon with one form that evolve into multiple and vice versa. But seeing as this is just a blurb, I think it's fine the way it is now, no need for it to get bloated when it's just an explanation of the basic concept of forms, and we explain the specifics of each individual one elsewhere. (Also mentioning gender differences in that section wouldn't really make sense since they're covered by the next section, and Toxtricity's form being determined by Nature is again a very random thing to deem noteworthy, there's all sorts of factors that can determine forms.)
