Type matchup

The video evidence in question is footage of a randomizer. I have played enough of these to know that they can modernize type matchups. In an unmodified ROM of the game, Lick will always fail against a Psychic-type (as Confuse Ray is a status move, which almost always ignore type-based immunities, and fixed-damage moves like Night Shade also ignore type immunities in Generation I).
