User talk:KristianA
Welcome
Welcome to Bulbapedia, KristianA!
As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:
- For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
- Read over the style primer before making your edits. It is a basic outline of Bulbapedia style. For a more in-depth set of rules, see the manual of style.
- Keep an eye on the Messages from the Editor on the main page, to stay informed on current events on Bulbapedia.
- The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The é can be accessed by holding Alt and typing either 130 or 0233 on a Windows computer, and by using Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can easily click it in the character palette below the editbox.
- The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a capital B. The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
- The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
- On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
- The use of link templates is official policy.
- If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
- A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
- For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
- Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. This is done so that both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews have access to the images uploaded. To activate your account at the Archives and Bulbanews, please login there using the same username and password you use here on Bulbapedia.
- If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:KristianA/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
- Having said this, please make sure that you do contribute adequately to the main namespace. Bulbapedia is not MySpace or Facebook.
- There are certain restrictions on the content and amount of userspace content a user is allowed. For details, see the Userspace policy
- Unless prior permission is given, no user is permitted to edit another user's page. Furthermore, edits to other users' pages are permitted only if there are problems that spread to other parts of Bulbapedia, such as broken links that appear on the wanted pages, switching out duplicate images that appear on the Archives, etc.
- Fan fictions, missions, riddles, games, and anything else deemed not suitable for the wiki will not be allowed. If you would like to add something, but do not know if it is acceptable, ask an administrator.
- A list of administrators that you can contact in case of a problem can be found here.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here! --TESHIGIGAS 20:32, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Please
Slow down on editing the User:
namespace. There are only three userspace edits allowed per day, and you have gone over the limit. Editing your userpage too much will lead to it being locked again. Instead of making multiple small edits, why not instead use the preview button (Alt + Shift + P) to check your edits before saving the page? Thank you. --Gywall(Talk) 15:29, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Pokémon
Pokémon is not spelled "pokemon", it's "Pokémon". Chocolate (Chat with Me) 22:23, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- so sorry!KristianA 22:24, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- Make sure to indent your comments, too. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 22:26, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Talk Page Comments
Please don't erase talk page comments for no reason. Trust me, you do NOT want to end up like Big Johnno, who got into an edit war with a sysop over comments the former had erased and was trying to keep erased. That user ended up blocked and subsequently had every erased comment restored. --UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 22:25, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Dookia
Just to tell you, that page has a delete template on it which means it would soon be deleted so there's no point in editing it. And also, you edited the wrong page. I'm pretty sure you were meaning to edit the talk page. Yeah...just a heads up for future references.--☆Tavisource 22:32, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- ...dodokia? Where'd you get that? I've never seen that term used before... ever. TTEchidna 03:37, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- sure you haven't heard the word before, it's made by me and some friends, and hhas never actuatly been used in daily talk. Dodokia is just a word we made for fun, but considering changing it to MASPFAP: Maximum Available Stat Points For A Pokémon. but Dodokia sound more cool.KristianA 11:01, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- Then it isn't allowed if it's not official. And remember to indent your comments, please. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 15:20, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- then why not make it official? we could use it here. KristianA 11:49, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- If Nintendo/Game Freak/whoever uses that term in official materials then it's official. Alternatively, terms that have a strong place in the fandom (like FIBRIR for Transformers, for example) can get their own pages. So get everyone everywhere using that term, and we'll see what we can do. --((Marton imos)) 12:11, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- then why not make it official? we could use it here. KristianA 11:49, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- KristianA: Why are you still not indenting your comments? Chocolate (Chat with Me) 17:06, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
how do you do that? KristianA 06:56, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- By adding : --☆Coolピカチュウ! 06:59, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Dude, I gotta tell ya straight. Gotta have some sense of notoriety before you start declaring words. GSDS wouldn't have been known as that had I not been as well-known as I am, and still, that's just a redirect to the actual page. I even, you know, asked permission before adding it because I didn't know if I was the only one using it. TTEchidna 03:20, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- actuatly i think i heard the word dodokia from a guy in a video, or then it was Dowdowkia he said. KristianA 21:07, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Congratulations!
The Golden Slowpoke Award
Congratulations! For making some of the best contributions to Bulbapedia you have been awarded the Golden Slowpoke Award for December, 2008 by BulbaBot! Slowpoke, the Dopey Pokémon, are known for being slow, and having an extremely dim intellect. Please be aware that this award is a joke and in no way reflects your actual mental capacity, but try and make better contributions in the future. |

Userspace policy
Unfortunately, those warnings ^up there^ still stand. Bulbapedia users are limited to a certain amount of userspace edits per day and you have gone over the limit. As such, your ability to edit your userpage has been temporarily taken away from you. In time, if you help to improve the mainspace (i.e. the Bulbapedia articles), it will be returned to you. Please help Bulbapedia grow. Thanks, —darklordtrom 10:45, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
Userspace limits
Hello. I have noticed that you have been editing the User:
namespace a lot recently, and have made a total of 2 userspace edits today. Please do not edit the userspace any more, as the userspace policy limits the amount you can edit your userpage: No more than three edits per day (by UTC), and you must contribute to the mainspace more than you edit your user page(s). This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our servers. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal page(s). The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your user page(s). Thank you. --Tiddlywinks (talk) 10:22, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
