Welcome to Bulbapedia, Levi Rinno!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

A couple things

When linking to episodes, please link them using their epicodes, don't link them using their episode names as that is a redirect and we generally avoid linking to redirects, even if it amounts to the same thing. Also, please use link templates whenever necessary, for example, use {{p|Pikachu}} instead of [[Pikachu (Pokémon)|Pikachu]] or {{AP|Pikachu}} instead of [[Ash's Pikachu|Pikachu]]. Thank you.--ForceFire 08:16, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

Voice actors

If you are going to add voice actors onto articles, you must provide a source. To get a source, you can contact a voice actor via social media or email. Going by credits, playing by ear, or using IMDB/behindthevoiceactors are not credible sources. Thank you.--ForceFire 08:25, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Landfish7 10:48, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

Again, please make use of the preview button to review your edits before you save changes. Landfish7 02:44, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

Ash's Friends

Please stop removing the {{ashfr}} template from articles. The template exists so that we don't have to list all of his friends every time and keeps things short and concise. Landfish7 02:28, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

Again, I am asking nicely, please refrain from removing the {{ashfr}} template from plot summaries. The template is intended to be used to keep plot summaries neat and concise. There is no reason to list out all of Ash's current roster of friends in every episode article. Landfish7 09:00, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

Ash's friends are individual characters. They are. Thus, I am treating them accordingly by acknowledging them. They shouldn't be treated as accessories or window dressing. They are as important to the show as he is and should have their names listed. Especially for those who don't know which specific friends he's with at that particular time. - unsigned comment from Levi Rinno (talkcontribs)
If you disagree with the guidelines you should discuss it with the community or staff before doing as you please. If you continue to remove the template I will have to contact an administrator to resolve this. Also please sign your comments using four tildes (~~~~). Thank you. Landfish7 09:10, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
Apologies if I'm coming across harshly. Ash's friends are important and should be mentioned by name when they contribute to the plot of the episode, but when we are simlpy stating that Ash is with his friends they do not need to be listed in that moment, especially considering in some episodes he is travelling with four or more people, which can create clutter when listing them all. But when Misty saves the day, or Brock heals a Pokémon, then they can be mentioned by name when describing what they did. I'd advise you read the link templates guidelines and understand why they are so important to the culture and style of Bulbapedia. If you disagree with the use of a particular template, I'd advice discussing it with the community and/or staff before coming to your own decision about when and when not to use link templates. Episode Errors

I removed the speculation regarding a couple errors in EP144. We shouldn't add speculation on why errors occurred in a given episode, as this could clutter the errors sections of episode articles with unsourced guesswork for each error point. Landfish7 07:36, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

", as well"

A comma does not belong before "as well" at the end of a sentence. This is grammatically incorrect. To avoid an edit war, please do not put it back in Brock's Crobat's article. Landfish7 08:50, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Block

As you have persisted with removing the {{ashfr}} template from articles, you have been given a three day block. The template exists so users don't have to list Ash's friends every time they are mentioned as a group. "Representation" is irrelevant if the individual isn't doing anything worthwhile in a given scene, so it's best to refer them as a group. If you return to continue removing the ashfr template from article, you may receive a longer block. Thank you.--ForceFire 16:25, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Extra spaces

I've noticed you have a habit of leaving extra spaces after periods. Please try to avoid that, as it not only is inconsistent and looks bad, but it adds unnecessary bytes to pages. Landfish7 06:10, 6 May 2022 (UTC)

Apologies. I'm trained from my school days to always including two spaces after periods rather than one. It's a force of habit more than anything.Levi Rinno (talk) 07:09, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
Please review your edits closely before saving. You are continuing to leave extra spaces in random places where they don't belong. There is a button called "Show changes" next to the preview button that will highlight any spaces that have been added. Please consider using this to check to make sure you haven't added any extra spaces out of habit. Thank you. Landfish7 02:30, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

Numbers

Just so you know, numbers larger than 10 are generally written as numerals whereas numbers lower than 10 are spelled out (the exception for the latter being if you're presenting data, then that should be written in numerals).--ForceFire 06:22, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

Literature is changing so much over the last twenty years. I'd always been taught that one-hundred or less gets spelled out, and 101 or higher is presented as numerals. I don't understand why such a drastic change has been made at all, but duly noted. - unsigned comment from Levi Rinno (talkcontribs)

Link templates

Just a reminder to remember to use link templates. Also, keep in mind that you can append an 's' to the end of a link or link template to make it plural e.g. {{pkmn|battle}}s instead of {{pkmn|battle|battles}}. Irregular plurals like Berries and Abilities often have their own link templates as well, in these examples coded as {{berries}} and {{abilities}}. Hope this helps! Landfish7 05:59, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

Another reminder about this. Landfish7 09:43, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Firsts

The trivia you recently added were not notable as something was bound to be the first episode to have a new character's Pokèmon evolve. It is just to be expexted.--ForceFire 09:45, 10 October 2022 (UTC)

Adverb+adjective

Please keep in mind that adverbs ending in "-ly" cannot be connected to an adjective with a hyphen e.g. "fully evolved" is correct, "fully-evolved" is not. Thank you. Landfish7 07:20, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

The Preview Button (again)

I've noticed that you've edited JN138 six times consecutively in a relatively short amount of time, and you were notified about consecutive edits almost a year ago.

Please remember to use the Preview Button before submitting your edits, and if you want to edit multiple sections, click "Edit this page" at the top. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 09:58, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
