Thank you, and have a good time editing here! GrammarFreak01 (talk) 04:07, 3 July 2018 (UTC) |
Please do not make assumptions
Don't try to mention the possibility of a correlation with the games' storylines in the anime sections of a given character, as you did here. It falls under speculation, which is usually frowned upon here. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:34, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
Signing
Please remember to always sign your comments. You can sign your comments with 4 tildes (~) or clicking the signature stamp () on the top of the edit box. It should also be noted that once your comment has been marked as unsigned, you cannot replace it with your signature as it will give off the wrong time stamp. Thank you for taking your time to read this message, have a good day. --ForceFire 05:40, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
Link templates
Please use link templates whenever necessary, do not use the standard linking method to link to articles. Example: {{tc|Lass}} instead of [[Lass (trainer class)|Lass]]. For a full list of link templates, see here.--ForceFire 04:34, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
Link templates, again
Once again, instead of writing things like [[Swift (move)|Swift]], you can just use the {{m}} template to speed up the writing process. Thus, {{m|Swift}} would be the quicker option. Keep that in mind for next time. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 05:21, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
Signing comments
This is a common problem for you. Please remember to sign your comments with four tildes (~) or by clicking on the signature button above the edit box. Don't resign or place a link to your userpage after you've made the comments, that's not how you sign comments. You also cannot re-sign an unsigned comment as it will give off the wrong timestamp. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:52, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- Ok. But here's the problem. When I sign in, I don't my screen name linked. See when I am signing off. - unsigned comment from PokéSean (talk • contribs)
- Did you customize your signature? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:45, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- I'm going to take that response as a "no". Okay, so you must type in this at the end of your messages: ~~~~ Then, you save, and it will be automatically turned into your signature. Understand? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:51, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- Once again, type this in at the end of your talk pages: ~~~~ Then, you save, and those four tildes will be automatically turned into your signature. Shouldn't be that hard. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 04:51, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- Again, you should go to your preferences, where you can change your signature. And pay atention to whether you're treating it as wikitext or not. Suic (talk) 00:51, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
- I notice you are still continuing to remove the {{unsigned|PokéSean}} from other users' talk pages. Please stop doing that as it gives incorrect time stamps. An admin has already explained this as has another user. Just remember to sign off using four tildes after adding comments and any conversation to a talk page, thank you. Frozen Fennec 03:13, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
Talk pages
Talk pages are generally to be used for improving the wiki, not for small chit chat about who will be competing in the league. If you want to speculate on that, you can go to the forums. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:04, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
Talk page policy
It seems you're no longer properly signing talk page messages, as you did here. Remember, type in four tildes (~). That'll automatically put in your signature. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:29, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
- You're no longer doing that. Once again, type in four tildes (~) and it will automatically code in your signature for you. If you have any questions, please ask them first before proceeding on a talk page message, but this should be a simple, straightforward process. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:58, 20 July 2019 (UTC)
- You seem to be doing it correctly this time. Like Suic12- said, use the preview button to double-check your signatures. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:08, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
Signing
This has been a constant problem for you. Please sign your comments, it is not that hard. All you are doing is typing out four tildes (~). Or, you can simply click on the signature button right above the edit box. You have consistently refused to sign your comments. This is your final warning regarding unsigned comments.--ForceFire 05:26, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Sesame Street reference
I personally think the Trainers on Route 20 in HeartGold and SoulSilver are specifically a Sesame Street reference, despite what Force Fire may say. I see the Trainers being in the same area as enough of a proof. They don't have to be the same Trainer class to validate the reference. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:37, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
- It's not about not sharing the same trainer class ore them being in the same area, it's about those trainers not having anything else in common other than sharing the same name. See the Batman reference in the Master Trainer article, that gives one other reason that those trainers could be a reference to Batman (the actors being in Batman and the trainers having bat Pokémon). You're not going to say Bonnie is a reference to Bonnie and Clyde.--ForceFire 12:07, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
- Of course, because Bonnie is a standalone, with no relation to anyone named Clyde or such! These Trainers, however, are all in the same area, close to each other! I seriously fail to see why that doesn't qualify as a common factor between them! Whatever you say, Force Fire, this is most definitely a reference! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:56, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
- But why is it a reference and more fits Sesame Street than It's A Wonderful Life? PokéSean 23:02, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
- PokeSean, what do those characters in that show share in common with the Trainers? Are they bird keepers? Are they swimmers? Or do they just share the same name? If it's the third one, then it's not a reference but a coincidence. A reference needs more than just sharing the same name and being in the same area.
- Finnish, I like how you decided to compare Bonnie with Clyde and not Bonnie with Bonnie, nice way to ignore the point. And I also like how you ignored my Batman point. Did you not see how I explained why that is a reference? Your reasoning are flimsy and weak, it is merely a coincidence that they share the same name and are in the same location. What do the Sesame Street characters have in common with the trainers (apart from name and location)? Absolutely nothing.--ForceFire 05:10, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
- Because them sharing the name and location should be enough of a proof! Trainer classes don't matter! I honestly fail to see why this couldn't be counted as evidence! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:30, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- No, it's not "enough of a proof". It is flimsy and weak. Anyone can say a group of trainers on a certain route are a reference to some show because they share the same name. It needs more than that so people don't just add "The names of these characters are a reference to the characters from this show, and this show, and this show, and this show, and this show, and this show...".--ForceFire 05:13, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
- And FinnishPokéFan92 (talk • contribs), why doesn't I t bear a It's A Wonderful Life ref? In my opinion it's both a Sesame and IAWL ref. - unsigned comment from PokéSean (talk • contribs)
- In my opinion, there is a ref to both Sesame and Wonderful Life because there are both Bert and Ernie. Then again, the Sesame Muppets are coincidentally named after the Wonderful Life characters. - unsigned comment from PokéSean (talk • contribs)
- I am currently this on the forum but I probably has to do with Elmo not being a common name now. - unsigned comment from PokéSean (talk • contribs)

Warning
Please stop going from talk page to talk page to spam the same thing over and over again, it is non constructive. The protagonists names are called that in promotional material, it may change, but we don't know. For now it'll do.--ForceFire 06:14, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
- Okay. It was GrammarFreak01 (talk • contribs)'s idea and Abcboy (talk • contribs) has not replied because he came up with the SwSh PC names. But thanks. - unsigned comment from PokéSean (talk • contribs)
- You should always be patient when waiting for a response from an admin. They're usually way busier than us normal users. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:09, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
Signature policy, once again
I've noticed your signatures are incomplete in that there's no link to your talk page, which is what all signatures should have. Are you typing in four tildes? If not, you need to in order to submit a complete signature. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:10, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- Your signature is still incomplete. Tell me, are you typing in four tildes or are you not typing in four tildes? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:13, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- Wait, clicking? What do you mean by clicking? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:17, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, you're using the bar at the bottom? I'll test it out. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:25, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- The talk page link is showing up on my signature. Why don't you just type it in manually? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:26, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- As in, press the tilde button four times? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:41, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- Does it look different on your screen, by any chance? Is there a talk page link on your end? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:52, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
(resetting indent)PokéSean, your signature should look like this: PokéSean (talk), with the talk page link at the end of it. It is not the problem with the site. You are either typing out your signature manually, or have your signature set to a custom signature without the talk page link in your preferences.--ForceFire 06:14, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- PokéSean, out of good faith, I'm going to assume the problem with your signature is being caused by the latter scenario Force Fire laid forth. If you customized your signature before, I urge you to reset it to its original appearance. Your signature can't keep looking incomplete. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:45, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- It's still not showing up the way it's supposed to show up. I'm hesitant to believe it's just a glitch. Just restore your signature to its default mode (i.e. revert it back to its original settings and don't change it anymore). GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:18, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- Make sure this box is not checked before you hit Save in your preferences. --Abcboy (talk) 02:22, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- It's still not turning out the way it's supposed to. Have you read Force Fire's message when you were blocked? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 04:07, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
Block
Due to you continuously ignoring you talk page messages asking you to properly sign your comments, you have been blocked. If you are using a custom signature that doesn't include your talk page, please state so. While it is fine to have a signature that just links to either your user or talk page, there is confusion over how you are signing your comments, and judging by this edit summary, you are typing out your signature. I have given you the ability to edit your talk page to properly explain how your are signing and if you are using a custom signature.--ForceFire 04:32, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- My dad restored all my defaults and I am hoping it is working now. PokéSean (talk) 01:23, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah, you're good now. :) GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:27, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
Resemblance
Why is Allister's mask a reference of resembling but Gloria looking Ochako Uraraka is not of pop culture ref? PokéSean (talk) 01:59, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
- Why're you asking yourself this? Also, in response to your question, we do not mention copyrighted characters in any shape or form unless it is explicitly confirmed this was an intentional reference. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 07:18, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
