By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Advice

Arguing with another user by reverting an edit reverting your original edit is an edit war style of editing. Please don't do that. Instead, go to SatoMew2's talk page and start a civil discussion. Reverting to get your way on the page at issue is not going to get your way. CycloneGU (talk) 20:33, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Okay, I was wondering if it were about time to discuss on a talk page. I guess I've already done enough for it to qualify as an edit war. Sorry about that. However, instead of using the other user's talk page, would it make more sense to use Pokémon Yellow's talk page? Thanks! —The Sackinator (talk) 20:44, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
I tend to go to user talk pages. While it's true that the discussion is related to an article, it also seems to me to be a personal disagreement that you have with SatoMew2, and it's about whether to turn a comment into something that can be found under text on the page. Personally I like it better than hiding it in the source, but SatoMew2 is also correct that some things don't need page highlights, only being seen if someone goes to edit the information. I am not picking either side in the argument, I just didn't want things to get to a point that you would get in trouble, hence why I contacted you. Everyone makes mistakes, after all!
I'll be happy to offer an opinion myself if it comes to an impasse, but for now, note that SatoMew2 has been editing longer than you or me; 2008 is closer to when I joined Wikipedia, not Bulbapedia (though it could be noted that I have seen things like edit wars at Wikipedia too, and some can be dandies). So in the future, if you get reverted, contact the user regarding why. (Also, editors tend to follow their own pages, but might not follow the article you're editing, just looking in Recent Changes like I happened to be.) CycloneGU (talk) 20:50, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
Okay, thanks! I just looked at SatoMew2's talk page, and yeah: I don't have as much experience on Bulbapedia. And it's the same here: I was a Wikipedian before I was a Bulbapedian. Ha ha! Thanks! I'll go make their talk page even slightly larger now. Ha ha! —The Sackinator (talk) 21:00, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
