Snow Cloak (Japanese: ゆきがくれ Hidden in the Snow) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV. Twelve Pokémon can have this Ability, all of which are Ice types.

Effect

In battle

During hail, the accuracy of any move used against a Pokémon with this Ability is modified by a factor of 4/5. A Pokémon with this Ability will take no damage from hail if it otherwise would.

Outside of battle

If a Pokémon with Snow Cloak is leading the party in an area with a blizzard, then Snow Cloak decreases the wild Pokémon encounter rate by 50%.
