:Not sure about Mirror Move, as the flag isn't present, so the only ones I can think of right off the top of my head are Mimic and Instruct. I guess depending on the answer to {{m|Instruct}}'s research question, you may be able to constantly switch out Instruct's target even if it doesn't know Baton Pass then (which would be pretty funny), or only if the switched-in target knows Baton Pass as well. Skill Swap
Hi, i'm a new user here. Does this move pass along Skill Swapped abilities? --Bin-conb 13:14, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it doesn't, altough let me check real quick. MidnightCeltic 13:18, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm now 99% sure it doesn't, but only 10 Pokémon can learn the combo, excluding Mew and Smeargle. So I'm not entirely certain that it'd be worth anything useful MidnightCeltic 13:26, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Defense Curl
If Defense Curl was used and Baton Passed, will Rollout/Ice Ball be powered up? Skipperxc 21:31, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- If Defense Curl is used anywhere in battle, the aforementioned moves will be powered up.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:33, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- Even if Defense Curl is used by an opponent or a partner? — Laoris (Blah) 21:41, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- I guess...On Rollout (move), Ice Ball (move), and Defense Curl (move), it simply says "in the same battle."--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:43, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- "in the same battle" refers to a the Pokémon that's using Rollout or what-have-you, I'm quite certain. Rollout on an opponent who used Defense Curl shouldn't have any boosts, and same goes for partners.
- As for Baton Passing the Defense Curl, I'm 50/50 on that... depends if Baton Pass passes everything (past moves, etc), or just the stat boosts and effects. It'll probably require a test-fire to see what happens. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 00:05, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

- I'm almost sure that Defense Curl only boosts the user's defense (not all the Pokémon's involved in the battle), and therefore only the user's attacks (Rollout, Ice Ball, etc) and if the Pokémon uses Baton Pass the boosted defense will be passed, and also the Rollout power increased, or whichever attack the second user uses.--YukitoOoO 05:49, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Disable
If the user of Baton Pass has a Disabled move, will the disabled condition be passed along? Yenreb 05:31, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
- If the Pokémon being switched in also has the same move, then I believe yes, it will remain disabled. I can't say for certain, however. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 03:35, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
New Pic
Hey I found a new picture: would this work? - unsigned comment from Mario Man (talk • contribs)
- How about you make your own copy instead of stealing from another site? Then we'll talk. — THE TROM — 00:16, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Generation V
Baton Pass now uses whatever kind Poke Ball the user was caught in for the animation. I just tested it with my Scolipede and it showed the animation with a Heal Ball like the one it was caught in. Shiramu Kuromu 03:17, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds trivia worthy. I'll add it, but if anyone dissagrees let me know. --Pokemaster97 03:21, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Type Change
Can moves like Camouflage; Soak or Reflect Type have their effects Baton Passed? --Wild Gardevoir ♂ 02:22, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
Replacement process
Do you choose which Pokemon replaces the user? Jdrawer (talk) 14:31, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
Yawn, etc.
Does Baton Pass also pass along effects of moves such as Yawn, where the Pokémon falls asleep on the following turn, effects like Destiny Bond, or the type switch that moves like Soak apply? 4Jmaster (talk) 03:31, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
- I can tell you for certain that Yawn status will be passed, and Destiny Bond status will not, as DB status wears off as soon as you use any other move. Not sure about soak/campflague status, will have to test. - unsigned comment from RevenantBacon (talk • contribs)
Sketch
Something I've noticed is that Sketch can copy Baton Pass from the Pokémon switched in (in both Gen III and Gen VII; I haven't checked others), even when it doesn't know Baton Pass itself. This might have implications for other moves that check the last move used, especially if the Pokémon switched in also knows Baton Pass. --SnorlaxMonster 04:58, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
- At least in Generation II, Baton Pass only performs some kind of half-baked switch, so that makes sense. (I assume it wouldn't apply to U-Turn etc., but I haven't tested.)

I guess depending on the answer to Instruct's research question, you may be able to constantly switch out Instruct's target even if it doesn't know Baton Pass then (which would be pretty funny), or only if the switched-in target knows Baton Pass as well. Nescientist (talk) 10:56, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
- According to Pokémon Forever, in Generation II you cannot Sketch Baton Pass from the switched-in Pokémon. --SnorlaxMonster 07:15, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
