Luster Purge (Japanese: ラスターパージ Luster Purge) is a damage-dealing Psychic-type move introduced in Generation III. It is the signature move of Latios.
Effect
Luster Purge inflicts damage and has a 50% chance of lowering the target's Special Defense stat by one stage.
Luster Purge can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 2 bonus appeal points if Calm Mind was used in the previous turn.
Generations III to VIII
Luster Purge has a base power of 70.
Generation VIII
Pokémon Sword and Shield
In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Luster Purge could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in previous generations.
Generation IX
In Versions 1.0 to 2.0.2 of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Luster Purge could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 3.0.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in previous generations.
Furthermore, Luster Purge's base power has been increased to 95.
