As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

• For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.

• The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
• The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a captial B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
• The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.

• The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.

Pokémon Sprites

I personally think there's issues with contrast on many of the sprites. Do all sprites have thick, dark edges? I think not. Try and match the colour style at least. Gywall^(Talk) 20:11, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Tavis, BJ and I have been making Good Friend Templates based on the movie, some who are actual friends (May/Manaphy, Max/Jirachi, Lati@s, some enemies (Charizard/Entei Dialga/Palkia, Deoxys/Rayquaza). I want an enemy one for Butler/Jirachi, and another friend one for Alice/Darkrai, but no pngs for those characters exist. Wanna make sprite for Butler and Alice?--KukiTalk 23:16, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

There, I have finished Ash's Sceptile, Squirtle, Primeape, Butterfree, and Jessie's Dustox. Oh! and I forgot to say earlier that in order to make Pokemon look younger, I would have to make the sprite much smaller because that is basically the main difference. Making Alternations of sprites is simply adding on items onto the Pokemon sprites or it won't be called "Sprite alternation." I decided to take on this job because the previous ones that some people did were not as great (no offense). But making characters are different. I usually take a character sprite from the game, similar to the character I'm making and basically erase their hair and change the color of the clothes. I believe that someone already gave her Croagunk a bow. There has been another person working on the sprites. But there is also a person going around deleting all of them. The answer is no. The Pokemon would be in a different pose, making it impossible...well, almost impossible. I'm also excited about Platinum, but I MORE excited about the new Pokemon/Pokemon forms. No, what will harm the archives and cause problems is the constant removing that will slow the server, the sprites should be there and once they are up only a few more will be added as the anime goes along, as you don't get a new 1 everyday, so there will be no more problem with the server, and have you seen some of the junk on those archives, I think the junk should be removed. Please use link templates when linking to stuff such as Pokémon names, attacks, and the like. For example, {{p|Onix}} instead of just [[Onix]]. This is so you don't unintentionally link to a disambiguation page.

Talk Page Comments

Please don't erase talk page comments for no reason. Trust me, you do NOT want to end up like Big Johnno, who got into an edit war with a sysop over comments the former had erased and was trying to keep erased.
