The {{ka|Pokémon Mansion}} in the northwest has been abandoned, having been destroyed by a {{p|Mewtwo|violent genetically-engineered Pokémon}} that broke free of its prison and escaped. Fortunately, the [[Pokémon Lab]] next to the Poké Center was spared, so the fossil resurrection experiment is still operational.  This technological mecca is also home to the seventh Gym, which is locked until the player finds the [[Secret Key]] in the [[Pokémon Mansion]].

She prefers to spend time on her own and gives you {{HM|02|Fly}} to keep her hideaway a secret. Using Fly in the field allows a Trainer to instantly travel to any city or town that had been visited previously.

When held, the amount of prize money won is doubled if the holder takes part in the battle.

Enter the gate and visit the second floor to find a boy who is looking to trade Pokémon. He is hoping to get a {{p|Golduck}}{{sup/3|FR}} / {{p|Slowbro}}{{sup/3|LG}}, and is willing to trade his {{p|Lickitung}} for one. Both Golduck and Slowbro can be caught in the wild, but Lickitung is a unique Pokémon found nowhere else.

==Fuchsia City==

Head to the east through the north door to get an {{DL|Vitamin|Iron}}. Backtrack and flip the statue switch and enter the southern door. Battle the scientist, and jump off the smaller eastern ledge to drop to the 2nd floor's southern section.
[[Fuchsia City]] is the largest city in southern [[Kanto]], located between {{rt|18|Kanto}} and {{rt|15|Kanto}}. To the south, a beach leads to the waters of {{rt|19|Kanto}}. The northern part of the city is occupied by rare Pokémon exhibits and a nature preserve known as the [[Safari Zone]]. Trainers aiming to earn their next Badge can challenge the [[Fuchsia Gym]] in the southwest.

This mid-level fishing rod can reel in a greater variety of water-dwelling Pokémon than the [[Old Rod]]. The [[Fuchsia Gym]] officially specializes in {{type|Poison}} Pokémon, although there are several {{t|Psychic}}- and {{type|Ground}} Pokémon to be found inside. Poison-type moves are super effective against {{type|Grass}} Pokémon, while Poison-type Pokémon are weak to Ground- and Psychic-type moves.


This area of the third floor has a Burglar, a third journal entry, and a {{DL|Potion|Max Potion}}.  Take the stairs back down to the 2nd floor, flip the switch, and take the northwest stairs again.
The Gym Leader is trained in the skills of the ninja, and has installed a series of nearly invisible glass panels to disorient any challengers. Anyone looking to battle the Gym Leader must first find the path between these panels to reach the middle of the room. [[Koga]]'s team includes only pure Poison-type Pokémon, but three of his Pokémon have the {{a|Levitate}} Ability, making Psychic-type moves the most effective. Each of his Pokémon can {{status|poison}} their target, so be sure to bring along some [[Antidote]]s.

After the battle, [[Koga]] awards you the {{badge|Soul}}, which gives your Pokémon a slight {{stat|Defense}} boost during battle and enables the use of {{m|Surf}} in the field. As a prize, he also gives you {{TM|06|Toxic}}, which he claims is a secret ninja technique from over 400 years ago.


Battle the scientist, pick up the {{DL|Vitamin|Carbos}}, and take the stairs to the basement.
===Safari Zone===
For {{pdollar}}500, Trainers who visit the {{ka|Safari Zone}} are given 30 [[Safari Ball]]s and allowed to catch any Pokémon they can find. There is a catch: visitors are restricted from using their own Pokémon to weaken the wild Pokémon first. Instead, they may throw either bait or rocks before attempting capture. Throwing bait makes a Pokémon less likely to run, but harder to catch; throwing a rock has the opposite effect. When visitors run out of Safari Balls or walk 600 steps, the game is over.

====Area 2====
Climb onto the rocky ridge to the east to reach the middle of the zone and a [[Quick Claw]]. Backtrack, then go northwest through the tall grass and climb onto the western ridge. Head northeast from the three ponds to find {{TM|47|Steel Wing}}. Turn west near the rest house to pick up a [[Protein]] and follow the path to the southwest exit.


After his defeat, Blaine awards the {{badge|Volcano}} to victorious Trainers, as well as {{TM|38|Fire Blast}}. The badge also heightens a Pokémon's {{stat|Special}} stats. <br><br>
====Area 3====
After defeating Blaine, Trainers leave the [[Cinnabar Gym]] and run into [[Bill]] outside.  A friend has invited Bill to visit him on the first of a [[Sevii Islands|chain of newly-discovered islands]] to the south of the [[Kanto]] mainland. If you choose not to leave right away, Bill will wait inside the Poké Center for the boat to arrive (which won't arrive until the player speaks to him again).
Head south to find a set of [[Gold Teeth]], then go west to get {{TM|32|Double Team}} before entering the Secret House. It seems that no one else has ventured this deep into the park, so the {{HM|03|Surf}} is yours. Use it on a {{t|Water}} Pokémon, like {{p|Gyarados}} or {{p|Lapras}}, and you can cross the pond to the south to reach a [[Max Potion]] and a [[Max Revive]] on the way back to the entrance. Otherwise, you can backtrack through the other areas until the timer runs out, which likely will not be much longer.

This is the Bulbapedia walkthrough for Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.
These pages follow the remade Game Boy Advance iteration, not Pokémon Red and Blue. The guide for those games can be found here.


Route 16

Route 17

Route 16 links Celadon City to Route 17. The road southward to Fuchsia City can be dangerous for pedestrians, so be sure to bring a Bicycle.


Fly, Fly Away

Use Cut on the small tree to reach the secluded northern area. Enter the house beyond the gate and speak to the girl inside. She prefers to spend time on her own and gives you HM02 (Fly) to keep her hideaway a secret. Using Fly in the field allows a Trainer to instantly travel to any city or town that had been visited previously.

Roadblock

A Snorlax has fallen asleep near the gate, blocking the path. Use the Poké Flute to wake the Pokémon, which attacks in a grumpy rage! Snorlax are hard to find, so catch it if you can.

Rags to Riches

Enter the south gate and speak to the Scientist on the upper floor. He happens to be another of Oak's aides, and has been instructed to give you an Amulet Coin if you have caught at least 40 different Pokémon. When held, the amount of prize money won is doubled if the holder takes part in the battle.

Route 17

The bridges of Route 17 pass over the ocean on the way downhill to Route 18. Anyone riding a Bicycle on Cycling Road who decides to stop pedaling will continue rolling southward, unless the A or B Buttons are held.

Route 18 leads east from Route 17 to Fuchsia City.


Time for a Trade

Enter the gate and visit the second floor to find a boy who is looking to trade Pokémon. He is hoping to get a GolduckFR / SlowbroLG, and is willing to trade his Lickitung for one. Both Golduck and Slowbro can be caught in the wild, but Lickitung is a unique Pokémon found nowhere else.


Fuchsia City

Fuchsia City

Fuchsia City is the largest city in southern Kanto, located between Route 18 and Route 15. To the south, a beach leads to the waters of Route 19. The northern part of the city is occupied by rare Pokémon exhibits and a nature preserve known as the Safari Zone. Trainers aiming to earn their next Badge can challenge the Fuchsia Gym in the southwest.


Fishing Guru 2

The southeastern-most house belongs to the Fishing Guru's brother. Speak to him to receive a Good Rod. This mid-level fishing rod can reel in a greater variety of water-dwelling Pokémon than the Old Rod. Give it a try at his backyard pond to find Poliwag and Goldeen to add to your collection.

Safari Zone Warden's house

The southeastern house belongs to the Safari Zone Warden. It is difficult to understand what he is saying, but seems to have misplaced his set of Gold Teeth. If you happen to find a set of false teeth, be sure to return it to him.

The Poisonous Ninja Master!

The Fuchsia Gym officially specializes in Poison-type Pokémon, although there are several Psychic- and Ground-type Pokémon to be found inside. Poison-type moves are super effective against Grass-type Pokémon, while Poison-type Pokémon are weak to Ground- and Psychic-type moves.

The Gym Leader is trained in the skills of the ninja, and has installed a series of nearly invisible glass panels to disorient any challengers. Anyone looking to battle the Gym Leader must first find the path between these panels to reach the middle of the room. Koga's team includes only pure Poison-type Pokémon, but three of his Pokémon have the Levitate Ability, making Psychic-type moves the most effective. Each of his Pokémon can poison their target, so be sure to bring along some Antidotes.

After the battle, Koga awards you the Soul Badge, which gives your Pokémon a slight Defense boost during battle and enables the use of Surf in the field. As a prize, he also gives you TM06 (Toxic), which he claims is a secret ninja technique from over 400 years ago.

Safari Zone

For $500, Trainers who visit the Safari Zone are given 30 Safari Balls and allowed to catch any Pokémon they can find. There is a catch: visitors are restricted from using their own Pokémon to weaken the wild Pokémon first. Instead, they may throw either bait or rocks before attempting capture. Throwing bait makes a Pokémon less likely to run, but harder to catch; throwing a rock has the opposite effect. When visitors run out of Safari Balls or walk 600 steps, the game is over.


Entrance

Enter the safari and head to the northeast to reach the second area.

Area 1

Climb onto the larger rocky ridge to the south and pick up the Leaf Stone. Head west to reach several patches of tall grass, TM11 (Sunny Day) on the edge of a lake, and a Max Potion to the northwest. Collect the Full Restore near the rest house and take the northeast exit.

Area 2

Climb onto the rocky ridge to the east to reach the middle of the zone and a Quick Claw. Backtrack, then go northwest through the tall grass and climb onto the western ridge. Head northeast from the three ponds to find TM47 (Steel Wing). Turn west near the rest house to pick up a Protein and follow the path to the southwest exit.

Area 3

Head south to find a set of Gold Teeth, then go west to get TM32 (Double Team) before entering the Secret House. It seems that no one else has ventured this deep into the park, so the HM03 (Surf) is yours. Use it on a Water Pokémon, like Gyarados or Lapras, and you can cross the pond to the south to reach a Max Potion and a Max Revive on the way back to the entrance. Otherwise, you can backtrack through the other areas until the timer runs out, which likely will not be much longer.
