C is a glitch Pokémon that appears in Pokémon Red & Blue that occupies slot E5. If encountered in the wild, the player encounters a glitch trainer who sends out a C. There is no way to capture or fight the Pokémon, because the game freezes after it is sent out. However, if the player encounters a trainer, he/she will instead encounter a level 10 Tentacool (which uses Giovanni's sprite)(only if Tentacool is registered as "seen"), who faints immediately after.

is a Glitch glitch Pokémon that appears in . Its name consists of an illegible tile with index number 193 (0xC1) in battle, and 69 (0x45) out of battle, followed by the letter "C". It occupies index number 229 (0xE5). It cannot be encountered directly in the wild via the Mew glitch, because using a Special stat of 229 causes the player to encounter Giovanni (Trainer class 29) instead, with different Pokémon depending on the opponent's attack stage.
Its Pokédex entry does not appear upon capture if the player has already seen Haunter. This is due to an invalid 'captured' flag corresponding to Haunter's 'encountered' flag which is shared with all glitch Pokémon that have a Pokédex number of 245. features a glitch screen, specifically the blackout variant. 's front sprite crashes the game when sent out.

RBGlitchNameE5.png is a Glitch-type glitch Pokémon that appears in Red and Blue. Its name consists of an illegible tile with index number 193 (0xC1) in battle, and 69 (0x45) out of battle, followed by the letter "C". It occupies index number 229 (0xE5). It cannot be encountered directly in the wild via the Ditto glitch, because using a Special stat of 229 causes the player to encounter Giovanni (Trainer class 29) instead, with different Pokémon depending on the opponent's attack stage.

Its Pokédex entry does not appear upon capture if the player has already seen Haunter. This is due to an invalid 'captured' flag corresponding to Haunter's 'encountered' flag which is shared with all glitch Pokémon that have a Pokédex number of 245. RBGlitchNameE5.png features a glitch screen, specifically the blackout variant. RBGlitchNameE5.png's front sprite crashes the game when sent out.
