== Confusing Equation ==
The variables in the equation for the chance of one of N's Pokemon confuses me greatly. The text in the article is as follows:
'''The probability of finding one of N's Pokémon is (p-br), where p=number of Pokémon of the same species caught, b=8-number of badges obtained, and r=the rarity of the Pokémon in that area.'''
By this logic, if I have 8 badges, then b will equal 0 (and by basic rules of exponents, br will equal 0). Also, if I have never caught any of the species that I'm looking for. For example, let's say I'm looking for N's Sandile, and I've never caught a Sandile before, then p will have to equal 0. This means that the chance of finding N's Sandile, having never caught one before, and with 8 badges will be (0-0r), which would be 0, implying it is impossible to find it. However, this is simply not true. It is entirely possible to find N's Pokémon, even if that species has not yet been caught. The equation in this page needs a serious update, as it has a gaping flaw. == Held items. ==
Can they have held items? Because some of these are the only of its species found in wild (eg. {{p|Darmanitan}} or {{p|Tympole}}) in B2W2. [[User:Marked +-+-+|Marked +-+-+]] ([[User talk:Marked +-+-+|talk]]) 09:17, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Notable?

I don't really think this page is notable. It could just be put on N's page. But I'd like more opinions. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 23:45, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

N's Pokemon are numerous, have specific stats (and even IV spreads), are a feature from Memory Link and capture of them all is required for N battle rematches and Zinzolin offering Ghetsis's translations of the Abyssal Ruins. In addition he has indeed used nearly all of these Pokemon in battles from Black/White with just small exceptions (Darmanitan and Zorua). I think it's enough to make the page notable for documenting the Pokemon. Chicobo329 (talk) 01:20, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
If we were to put all of this on N's page, it would be an eyesore. There would be too much data for one to view on N's page, and then there would be a lot of complaints. To prevent that, I put N's Pokémon received in Black 2 and White 2 on a separate page because it is a separate event that takes place, and is well worth its own page. Zorocario (talk) 03:31, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
I think this article is important for a few reasons. The main reason is the proccess to obtain them, which is a chalenge in itself. Also they are essential in order to do certain events like battles with N. Also I agree that if these Pokémon were listed on his page it would become an eyesore and it would make the page very long. Lady Ariel (talk) 14:28, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
I have to correct Chicobo. You don't need these Pokémon, it's a rumor (I have only Zorua). Yes, I got Zinzolin event, not sure if it is required, but today I catched N's dragon and Kyurem, and now he is at Ferris Wheel (apparently he is only at Friday; though Tetsu or Ruri can appear instead if the player didn't do their events. I didn't, so I had to talk to them first, then re-enter amusement park for N to appear). Anyway, after riding on the Ferris wheel, you can go battle N in his castle. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 11:03, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Small thing to fix

In the trivia, it says that Darmanitan is the only Pokemon to have an Ability. It should say that it is the only Pokemon with a Dream World ability. --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 09:24, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Zorua/Zoroark

In the final battle in BW, N has a Zoroark. However, in B2W2, Rood gives you a Zorua. This implies that N had or has a Zoroark, and had the Zorua. If this page is staying, I think this should probably go somewhere on here. MatchMaster (Talk | Contribs) 13:19, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

It's not just implied. It's outright shown. You meet his Zoroark in Victory Road and it allows you to go to N's Castle. It does mention that he doesn't use the Zorua in battle, as it is the one from his childhood that is shown in BW's opening, but I'm not sure if Zoroark needs to be mentioned. --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 13:30, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
It doesn't. Zoroark is completely irrelevant to this page. Zorocario (talk) 23:52, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

I think that's much better because it gives people the information they actually want.Me, Hurray! (talk) 12:53, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
What happened to adding this to the page? It would be much better than the current template. Voltdetector (talk) 14:10, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
if no ones against this i think i will add these in a few days Wild Starfish (talk) 14:11, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

Encounter Rate

What actually are the chances of meeting one of N's Pokémon? Does anyone know? Me, Hurray! (talk) 19:09, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

Not sure myself only found Joltik and dont seem to have luck finding any others. The encounter rate is most likely somewhat low. -Cj1227
The encounter rate appears to increase under some circumstances. I've encountered 5 N's Pokémon within the space of 30 minutes in Chargestone cave (knocked out 1, caught it on the 2nd attempt). --Archaic (talk) 06:54, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Ok. Should it be noted on this page that they come back when they faint? That seems to be something noteworthy. -Cj1227
It's already on the page. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 11:58, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
I wouldn't say it was low. I encountered Sigiliph twice (each time it used Whirlwind on me...) and Sandile straight after each other. 3 N's Pokémon encounters in three battles. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 12:20, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
I haven't had that kinda luck with his Pokémon yet. They rarely appear for me. I spent ages in the Desert Resort and only found his Darmanitan. Me, Hurray! (talk) 21:38, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
This is just my opinion, but I believe that the rate of finding them is about 10%, disregarding the Pokemon's actual encounter rate. Therefore, for instance, if N owned a Tynamo which only has 2% encounter rate, it would be 10% instead. That's how I see it anyhow, I could be wrong. Zorocario (talk) 03:42, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
There should be some sort of data gathering to help gamers. I hate waiting until I see the animation. Israchu (talk)

Natures

I tried to catch N's sandile so it had a adamant nature, so I kept soft reseting. But every time I caught it, it was docile. 20 times I tried. I think the natures may be preset. Deoxys80 (talk) 23:28, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

They have fixed natures. Roll over the levels on the page and you'll see what they're natures are. Israchu (talk) 13:38, 14 March 2013 (GMT+2)

In b/w

What happens if you trade them to B/W, will they still sparkle? --Time for awesomeness! Pokemon Trainer Bowser Jr. [[ 15:46, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

Probably not. The sparkle was probably not present in B/W (This is a guess, I haven't tested it myself), but all the other info and stats will still remain. Schiffy (talk) 16:32, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

N Notices

When you take one of N's Pokémon with you to the Pokémon League and go through the badge check for the first time, N notices if you have have his Pokémon with you. I'm not sure if it's specific to this instance or if he notices on other occasions. I think this deserves at least a brief mention, right? Me, Hurray! (talk) 21:38, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

Limber?

You sure someone didn't just guess? Or maybe it was Black? (because checking on White*) Because that Purrloin is N's, I am sure of that, because that's the first battle. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 10:00, 1 December 2012 (UTC) Nevermind. Walkthrough confused me. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 10:20, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Confusing Equation

The variables in the equation for the chance of one of N's Pokemon confuses me greatly. The text in the article is as follows:

The probability of finding one of N's Pokémon is (p-br), where p=number of Pokémon of the same species caught, b=8-number of badges obtained, and r=the rarity of the Pokémon in that area.

Schiffy (talk) 16:44, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Held items.

Can they have held items? Because some of these are the only of its species found in wild (eg. Darmanitan or Tympole) in B2W2. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 09:17, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

All of N's are most likely set to not have a chance of holding an item. Schiffy (talk) 21:31, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

bank transfer

ok cool, someone took off the part about these pokemon not being able to transfer to pokemon bank, like, just yesterday. i made an account just because i was all ready to bring it up and upload pictures and everything Hotmoms666 (talk) 20:46, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Abilities

Do they really not have set Abilities (aside from Zenmanitan)? Because I'm going for N's Joltik, and I keep trying for Compound Eyes, but it's very consistently had Unnerve every single time. - totally signed comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 23:05, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
