Gardevoir is Diantha's first known Pokémon and is able to Mega Evolve into Mega Gardevoir. In The Bonds of Evolution!, it was first seen fighting Magnus's Absol in Brackish Town, where it used its speed to completely avoid taking any damage before defeating it, doing so without needing to Mega Evolve. Later, Gardevoir battled Pikachu, and was able to completely outmatch its opponent again in terms of speed and power. Before it could win, Gardevoir was captured by TRT, who attempted to flee with it. However, Diantha followed and Mega Evolved Gardevoir, who easily escaped its captors and sent them blasting off.

It was seen in a flashback in Mega Revelations!, and it also was seen in a fantasy in Summer of Discovery!.
In Battling Into the Hall of Fame!, an old photo in the Pokémon Summer Camp Hall of Fame revealed it to have evolved from a Ralts and to have been with Diantha since she was young.

It was revealed to have evolved from a Ralts in Battling Into the Hall of Fame! and to have been with Diantha since she was young, as it appeared with her on a photo in the Pokémon Summer Camp Hall of Fame.
In Championing a Research Battle!, Gardevoir battled Ash's Greninja. Although Gardevoir initially held the upper hand, it eventually had to Mega Evolve to keep up with Greninja's unique transformation. When Greninja perfected its new form, it overpowered Gardevoir, but passed out from the resulting strain. Gardevoir was then targeted by Team Rocket again, but it easily sent them blasting off. It then dropped to its knees in exhaustion; Diantha thanked it for a job well done and recalled it.

Gardevoir appeared alongside Diantha on a television screen in The Future is Now, Thanks to Strategy!.

It appeared again in XY140, during a flashback.
In Pride of a Champion!, Diantha used Gardevoir as her last Pokémon in her Masters Eight Tournament match against Lance. After Mega Evolving, Gardevoir was able to defeat Hydreigon and Lance, despite the latter Dynamaxing, making Diantha the winner of the battle.

In It's... Champion Time!, Diantha used Gardevoir as her last Pokémon in her Masters Eight Tournament match against Leon, while Leon still had five Pokémon left. It defeated his Rillaboom with Psychic. With Leon coming out next, Gardevoir Mega Evolved. Charizard Gigantamaxed and used G-Max Wildfire, with Gardevoir deflecting it back with Psychic. Charizard countered with Max Airstream before unleashing a second G-Max Wildfire, which broke through Gardevoir's combination attack. The damage was too much for Gardevoir to handle, and as a result, Diantha was eliminated from the tournament.

History

Pokémon the Series: XY

Gardevoir and Diantha

Gardevoir is Diantha's first known Pokémon and is able to Mega Evolve into Mega Gardevoir. In The Bonds of Evolution!, it was first seen fighting Magnus's Absol in Brackish Town, where it used its speed to completely avoid taking any damage before defeating it, doing so without needing to Mega Evolve. Later, Gardevoir battled Pikachu, and was able to completely outmatch its opponent again in terms of speed and power. Before it could win, Gardevoir was captured by Team Rocket, who attempted to flee with it. However, Diantha followed and Mega Evolved Gardevoir, who easily escaped its captors and sent them blasting off.

In Battling Into the Hall of Fame!, an old photo in the Pokémon Summer Camp Hall of Fame revealed it to have evolved from a Ralts and to have been with Diantha since she was young.

In A Towering Takeover!, Gardevoir was seen trying to protect Lumiose City citizens from Team Flare's attack alongside Diantha. In Coming Apart at the Dreams!, Rocking Kalos Defenses!, and Forming a More Perfect Union!, it continued to protect the Kalos region from Team Flare and assisted in the battle to destroy the Giant Rock while Diantha led the charge against it.

Pokémon Journeys: The Series

Gardevoir's Gardevoirite

Gardevoir appeared alongside Diantha on a television screen in The Future is Now, Thanks to Strategy!.

In Pride of a Champion!, Diantha used Gardevoir as her last Pokémon in her Masters Eight Tournament match against Lance. After Mega Evolving, Gardevoir was able to defeat Hydreigon and Dragonite, despite the latter Dynamaxing, making Diantha the winner of the battle.

In It's... Champion Time!, Diantha used Gardevoir as her last Pokémon in her Masters Eight Tournament match against Leon, while Leon still had five Pokémon left. It defeated his Rillaboom with Psychic. With Charizard coming out next, Gardevoir Mega Evolved.

Being calm just like its Trainer, Gardevoir proved powerful in its debut appearance, being able to dodge attacks from opponents with and without verbal commands, also proving a powerful bond with its Trainer.

Description: A combination between Psychic, G-Max Wildfire, and Max Airstream. Gigantamax Charizard uses G-Max Wildfire to launch a bird-shaped flame at Mega Gardevoir, who pushes it toward the opponent with Psychic. Charizard adds to the combination attack with Max Airstream, creating a bird-shaped flame infused with psychic energy and wind. This was used against Leon's Charizard during Diantha and Leon's battle in the Masters Eight Tournament semifinals.

Gardevoir in Pokémon Adventures
As a Mega Gardevoir

Gardevoir is Diantha's only known Pokémon. It is able to Mega Evolve into Mega Gardevoir. It debuted in Chespin Sows the Seeds of Change, where it was seen in the Lysandre Café with its Trainer. Diantha had it Mega Evolve to make Lysandre back off from threatening Trevor, Shauna, and Tierno.

In Connecting with Gardevoir, Diantha used Gardevoir to battle Team Flare Admin Chalmers's multiple Skrelp. Using its Psychic powers, Gardevoir rescued Gurkinn and his Heracross from drowning in a lake. Afterward, it Mega Evolved to fight against Chalmers's Dragalge, which it easily defeated with a Pixilate-powered Hyper Beam. Gardevoir later helped save a wild Diancie from a thief alongside Gurkinn's Heracross and Korrina's Lucario.

In Changing Gengar, Gardevoir was used to battle against Malva and her Braixen. Braixen started the battle with Magic Room, surrounding them both in a giant sphere of fire that isolated them from the outside. Malva noted that her plan was to use Magic Room to try and prevent Gardevoir from using Mega Evolution, only to find that the move has no effect on Mega Stones. Despite this, Malva continued to order Braixen to furiously attack and trap Diantha. As they battled, the Magic Room began to sink into the ground. Y and Shauna attempted to stop it but were unable to break open the Magic Room barrier before it fully disappeared.

In Yveltal Steals, Gardevoir battled against Malva's Talonflame. Due to Malva stealing her Mega Charm, Diantha was unable to Mega Evolve Gardevoir during the battle. The battle was later interrupted when Malva ran off to try and save Lysandre from falling to his defeat at the hands of X.
