Tapu Lele seems to be a kind and caring Pokémon, as it healed Ash's wounds despite not knowing him. However, it also doesn't seem to mind battling much weaker opponents and hurting them in the process, as shown when it challenged and easily defeated Ash's Rockruff, acting gleefully happy the whole time.

Tapu Lele (Japanese: カプ・テテフ Kapu-Tetefu) is a recurring Pokémon character in the anime that first appeared in Partner Promises!.

History

Tapu Lele made its anime debut in Partner Promises!, where Ash and Pikachu on Treasure Island. It was seen floating over the ocean, and scattered its glowing scales on Ash to heal the wounds he got while rescuing a trapped Wimpod, after which it took off into the sky. After Ash returned to Professor Kukui]'s house, Rotom Pokédex identified it as a Tapu Lele.

Tapu Lele reappeared in The Island Whisperer!, during a flashback and a fantasy. It appeared again in Trials and Determinations!, flying over Ash, his classmates, Olivia, and Professor Kukui, after Ash's grand trial against Olivia.
