Draining Kiss (Japanese: ドレインキッス Drain Kiss) is a damage-dealing Fairy-type move introduced in Generation VI. It was TM87 in Pokémon Sword and Shield, and is TM037 in Generation IX.

Effect

Draining Kiss does damage and restores the user's HP by 75% of the damage dealt.

If the user is holding a Big Root, the HP restored is increased by 30% (making the restored HP 97.5% of the damage dealt). Big Root does not increase the damage dealt.

If the target has the Ability Liquid Ooze, the user will lose the amount of HP it would have gained instead.

Draining Kiss cannot be used if the user is under the effects of Heal Block.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Draining Kiss's PP was increased from 10 to 15.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Draining Kiss is Sylveon's second move. It is obtained by reaching level 6 and upgrading Baby-Doll Eyes into it instead of Calm Mind. The user blows a kiss at an enemy that goes back and forth between the user and the target multiple times. When the kiss touches the user, restore HP. When it hits the enemy, deal damage and decrease their movement speed for a short time. If the user and the enemy move too far away from each other, the kiss will disappear faster than normal. At level 12, the healing is increased.
