The Water 2 Egg Group (Japanese: 水中②グループ Underwater 2 Group, formatted as すいちゅう2 Underwater 2 in Pokédex 3D and Pokédex 3D Pro, 水中グループ２ Underwater Group 2 in Generation III and IV guidebooks, and 水中２グループ Underwater 2 Group in Pokémon Stadium 2 and Generation II guidebooks) is one of the fifteen Egg Groups. Like its counterparts Water 1 and Water 3, it is mostly made up of Water-type Pokémon. As of Generation IX, 34 Pokémon belong to this group.
Characteristics
Pokémon in the Water 2 Egg Group are mostly fish-like, with a few members being based on cephalopods.

Trivia
- Not counting the Ditto Egg Group, the Water 2 Egg Group has the smallest number of types represented, only having Pokémon of ten types: Flying, Poison, Ground, Rock, Ghost, Water, Electric, Psychic, Dark, and Dragon.
- The Water 2 Egg Group is the only one that does not yet have a Grass-type Pokémon.
