In addition, as Pokémon Day spin-offs, the movie aired in only two selected UCI Cinemas events (one projection per event only): on September 7, 2008 in Naples and on September 14, 2008 in Milan. The movie should have aired on August 31, 2008 in both Rome and Geneve, but some issues with the given DVDs made the events fail.

A Pokémon Day was an annual event that took place in Italy. It was organized by Nintendo and held at the Mirabilandia amusement park, near Rimini. Every Pokémon Day was two or more days long. During each Pokémon Day, Event Pokémon or items were given away.

From 2015 onward a Pokémon Day wan't held, instead there are events for younger fans called Pokémon Tour in different cities.

A similar event is held in other countries as well.

Pokémon Day 2005

The first Pokémon Day was held on July 2 and 3, 2005.

While no event Pokémon was distributed, the event item AuroraTicket was given via Mystery Gift. There were also some free TCG cards: Charmander from EX RossoFuoco & VerdeFoglia and Farfetch'd from EX Smeraldo, among with other gifts like t-shirts and stickers.

There was a mini Game Boy Advance tournament and a TCG tournament that allowed the winners to go directly to the finals in Italy. Two POP Serie 1 packs were given to all the participants.
