Sean Schemmel is an American voice actor for the English-language dub of the Pokémon anime.
Biography
Schemmel was born on November 21, 1968, in Waterloo, Iowa. His father left his mother while she was still pregnant with him, leaving Schemmel to be raised by a stepfather.[1] He attended and graduated from North Texas State University, after which he pursued a voice acting career. Schemmel first joined the series during the sixth season. As with most other voice actors who worked with 4Kids Entertainment, he left when Pokémon USA and TAJ Productions took over the dubbing and distribution of the series. As of Nosing 'Round the Mountain!, Schemmel has returned to provide voices for many more characters.
Schemmel had moved to Los Angeles at some point during the XY series, and after a long absence, returned to the anime once more in Pokemon Journeys: The Series, starting with Raid Battle in the Ruins!, in which he has always been uncredited as providing his voice role as Ash's Dracovish.
