Trivia

Origin

Gamageroge appears to be a combination of a Surinam toad and a loudspeaker. The Surinam Toad is an aquatic amphibian whose backs are covered in pockets that hold its eggs, which may have inspired Gamageroge's spherical "speakers" on its body. Its Pokédex entry also mentions the fact that it creates vibrations underwater, also like the Surinam.

Name origin

Its name is likely a combination of 蟇 gama, toad, and ゲロゲロ gerogero, the sound a frog makes.
